*concept :-
As Aswan has a hot desert climate "it is one
of the hottest , sunniest and driest cities" so we
should find the ways to treat the high
tempreture over the year and the main
objective is to provide the thermal comfort for
the users. so we can taking in consideration:
-reduce the solar radiation during summer.
-using the suitable thermal materials for this.
-allow the solar radiation to enter the space
during winter.
*Building Location:-
The building facade will face the south, also
windows will be placed in the south facade.
*Walls:-
the walls can be nade from a good insulation
like minral wool. as it is easier to work and
carries a slightly higher R-value but requires the
same precuations when handling it. it is
environmentally friendly and neither
flammable nor comustible.
*Roof:-
the roof can be added with Expended
polystyrene (XPS) to prevent heat transfer
by thermal radiation. as it has a good
lomg-term and stable R-value , does not
support the growth of mold or mildew. it is
a good below-grade insulation.
*Windows:-
it can be made from fiberglass material as it
considred a good insulation because it is
inexpensive, non-flammable, environmentally
friendly and readily available. However, it is
more difficult to work with and easily
compressible,which degrades the efficiency.
*Gained benefits:-
-methods used to achieve a thermal
comfort are totally green.
- louvers are urban texture as they used in
aswan
-achieving the thermal comfort without
harming the environment.
-planting trees will work as an advantage to
the environment.

*Design of louvers:-
from tables: - SGR=50%
- P.F=0.2
assuming : - A=1.2m
- B=0.3m
P.F = W / A+B
0.2 = W / 1.2+0.3
W = 0.3m
