Comment

In this case the contractor doesn't know the enough time to finish the
permission and it is on the critical path so it will delay the project.

This event is considered a direct event because it will delay the project as the
total float = zero
Although the response on the submittal was before the scheduled date it is a
direct event because it will take several months to procure these pumps as
they will be imported.

If we looked at the response date "12 May 2012" we will find 27 days delay
which will delay the whole process of procurement and executing of these
fixtures.

The effect of these utilities may not be obvious but if we thought for few
minutes we will find that it will affect the "Testing & Commissioning" Work
Package, for example the pumps test requires stable source of power which
will not be available in this case.

Safe Door is a Milestone with Zero Total Float which means it is on the
critical path, so its delay will affect the project duration
The actual condition of the underground water differs from the contractual
foundation report therefore the contractor has the right to claim for time
and money.

If we checked the revision date "1-February 2013" we will find that the
contractor finished installing about 65% of fixtures while the RFI was sent 8
months before start which will cause to modify all installed fixtures.

Although the date of response is before the planned date for the shop
drawing approval but changing the door from local to imported will take
longer time to procure which give the contractor to claim EOT.

The date of the SWI "20-January 2013" which means that the contractor is
only 7 days away from finishing this activity therefore he will claim the time
needed to procure, demolish and fix.

Comparing between the SWI date "15-March 2013" and the Final Paint start
date "18-March 2013" it will not considered as an event but if we checked
the Painting procurement finish date "20-October 2012" we will see the
event where the contractor has the right to claim the time needed to
procure the painting color requested by the client
