STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Hi, I am Ali Raza. One of the most important decisions in my life is to choose a career that fulfills my
dreams, financial and social needs. A bold decision is made based over factors ranging from latent
interests, inherent skills to scope and satisfaction. Hard-work, dedication and determination have been
my best friends and I constantly worked to achieve the best in academics. During my two years of
training, I had a positive attitude and developed good relationships with both classmates and teachers.
As an innovative and broad-minded individual, when it comes to analyzing various aspects of a
business, such as in marketing, finance, human resources and operations management. Applying these
skills effectively helped not only my confidence, but also my presentational skills, which are key
attributes in business. Additionally, this program progressed my understanding of business.

I have chosen UK as the study destination because United Kingdom is home to many notable and
prestigious education institutions. Its cultural diversity, leadership development and world-class
education system has grabbed the attention of many students all around the globe. It
has multiple universities which are ranked among the best in the world. With a focus on providing best
education and value of money to the students, UK is a country where advanced research is being carried
out with greater precision which puts impact on our day-to-day life. Secondly, UK has wider options for
business students to consider for instance, International management, business analytics, Accounting
and controlling, Accounting and Finance, Operational Management etc. UK universities have variety of
business courses with diversification in the modules; most of which have close industry linkages,
instilling industry recommendations and hence a student is ready for job market after their graduation.
UK certainly is a great place to live with a mix of cities and countryside beautiful villages. The country
has rich historical land-marks and museums with famous music festivals which helps keep one
entertained during their stay in UK. Therefore, UK will always be an ideal destination for carrying out
the further studies for many education having hopes to achieve quality education from the qualified
faculty. .

I have chosen Birbeck University of London for Pre-Masters in Business and Management program.

optimal use. I always have been inclined towards getting a global degree along with foreign exposure so
that I can enhance my knowledge about internationally accepted standards of business along with a
deeper insight in cultural and entrepreneurial values prevailing in world at large.

Window of opportunities definitely will be opened after getting Degree and this course will help me to
improve my management skills in a more effective way which would be helpful for me to tackle all the
issues that a person face in business. That isn’t to say you wouldn’t be able to enter the industry without
one, but it would be more difficult. Think of it as holistically as you can because your degree will sit
alongside your work experience and any other qualifications as well as your attitude, skills and work
ethic. Studying at Birmingham City University will allow me to develop a comprehensive understanding
of the dynamics within a business and equip me to pursue the career in business I aspire to. A good
degree from a high-achieving university is very likely to help you secure a position in your chosen field.

After completing my degree, I foresee a bright future for me back in Pakistan by joining any of the
multinational company or homegrown company and serve with effective tools to attain long-term goal to
be the corporate leader; I will explore opportunities relevant to my intended course making me among
the best in my country. In a long run I plan to set up my own business.
