Possible final defense questions.

1. what are the highly significant findings of your study?

(the answer is either chapter 4 or 5 major findings in line with your sop)

Ex. In sop 1 major findings, and so on and so port.

2.how consistent are your findings with the research title?

(title-sop-findings) they should be consistent

3.what are the basis of your recommendations?

( recommendation should be align with the result not in the researchers opinions)

(ex they ask where did you get the recommendation number 4?)

(recommendation should be the weakest part of your research or result and align with findings)

4. why did you use quanti./quali./ mixed methods?

5. how did you gather data?

( instrument or questionnaire checklist, did you interview? Semi structure or structure?

5. (follow up question) how will you administer the questionnaire?

(because pandemic we distributed questionnaire through google forms and how? Step by step and be
clear)

6. why did you use a questionnaire checklist?

(it has to do with your research design and methodology)

(its quantitative so certainly we are going to utilize questionnaire checklist esp. if it is perception study it
has likert scale)

(checklist questionnaire is for quantitative study)

7. how did you come up with that number of respondents?

(222 grade 7 why only 50? Explain)

7. (follow up) why do you have very few respondents?

9. why did you not include the other stake holders?

(in the alignment of our scope and limitation we only consider these respondents for this particular
study)

(put in recommendation)

10. how did you validate your questionnaire?

(explain the process how did it validate, who are the validators and their expertise)

11. is your instrument adopted or researcher-made why?

(our study is high similarity with previous study we are just different in nature of respondents but what
we want to know is similar – adopted)

(because data gathering will be good if we develop own instrument because before and now is very
different circumstances even it is quite similar with other study we cannot adopt others instrument
because we align this and consider in current situation of education. So we need to develop)

12. where did you get the items in your instrument?

(some items are contextualize and thorough reading of our rrl

13. what is the basis of your output of the study?

(look for the weakest findings, and that is the one you are going to make output)

14. what is the implication of findings?

(ex. What is the implication of findings in table 2.2 explain)

(not reveal in data but its logically connected what is on the findings)

15. have you answered all the SOP?

(it’s a confirmatory question)

(make sure sop answered in chapter 4 and 5)

( ex. The answer for sop number 1 could be found in page number__)

16. where can we find the data inline with problems encounter?

(focus in scope and limitation, for the satisfaction of the panelist or the evaluator even if it is not
included in sop we could say “along the conduct of this study these were the problems we encounter,
provide problems even it is not in manuscript don’t answer you do not know, always think where it can
be connected in sop number)

17. what are the limitations or weaknesses of your study?

(ex. Very limited number of respondents, difficulties in finding local literature, )

(if panelist did not ask about the depth part of limitations especially in methodology and data analysis
don’t discuss it)

18. what is the contribution of your study to the knowledge economy or to the current situation?

(ex. because of the gather data we are able to provide or serve as for the implementation of audio-visual
aids in every classroom, because it gives contribution in the learning process of students, because this
study reveal the result that ADV is effective and positive results etc. esp. now pandemic)

21. what current issues and problems led you in conducting this study?

(highlight to the panel if you resolve problem or issues, to show to them the relevance of your study in
the needs of the society)

22. what research or knowledge gap did you address in your study?

(gap is the problem that never been answer of all existing study)

(if you see study about this topic ex. 1980 there is gap)

23. what are your research variables?
