KOLHAPUR TRAVEL

Introduction

Kolhapur stands on the banks of Panchganga river and is the home to

the famous Shri Mahalakshmi Temple. Situated some 220 km
from Pune, the cultural capital of Maharashtra, Kolhapur is famous
for its unique jewelry design and for Kolhapuri chappals that are popular
for their extremely stiff soles.

The Maharajas of Kolhapur share common ancestry with the erstwhile

royal house of Satara. Satara and Kolhapur came into being in 1707,
following a succession dispute. When Shahu, the son of Sambhaji who
was taken prisoner by the Mughals, was released, Tara Bai (widow of
Rajaram, younger son of Shivaji Maharaj) refused to accept him and
proclaimed her son Shivaji I, as king. Two separate principalities become
an established fact by 1710. While Shahu established himself at Satara,
Tarabai set up her capital at Kolhapur.

BEST PLACES TO STAY IN KOLHAPUR

Kolhapur has accommodation for all budgets. Most of the hotels are
concentrated near Tararani Chowk which is 10 minutes away from
Kolhapur’s city center. The government guest house offers rooms at
subsidized rates but needs to be booked in advance.

BEST PLACES TO EAT IN KOLHAPUR

Kolhapur is known for its special cuisine characterized by its use of chili.
The delicacies made of red meat in Kolhapuri style are also
popular. Tambda rassa and Pandhara rassa are two delicious gravies
served here. Misal pav and batata vada are popular snacks served here.

System Analysis

System Analysis:

System Analysis by definition is a process of systematic investigation for the purpose

of gathering data, interpreting the facts, diagnosing the problem and using this information to
either build a completely new system or to recommend the improvement to the existing
system. We have analysed the Kolhapur Travel Website as below

Some of the places like the Shri Mahalakshmi Temple, Katyani Temple, Panhala
Fort, the Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Museum, the Rankala lake and the
palaces of the erstwhile royals are a must visit.

We collected the information by visiting the different sites, by communicating with

owner and employees.

Web-development
stages

KOLHAPUR TRAVEL

For me, steps to design a website requires 7 steps:

1. Goal identification: Where I work with the client to determine what goals the
new website needs to fulfill. I.e., what its purpose is.
2. Scope definition: Once we know the site's goals, we can define the scope of
the project. I.e., what web pages and features the site requires to fulfill the
goal, and the timeline for building those out.
3. Sitemap and wireframe creation: With the scope well-defined, we can start
digging into the sitemap, defining how the content and features we defined in
scope definition will interrelate.
4. Content creation: Now that we have a bigger picture of the site in mind, we
can start creating content for the individual pages, always keeping search
engine optimization (SEO) in mind to help keep pages focused on a single
topic. It's vital that you have real content to work with for our next stage:
5. Visual elements: With the site architecture and some content in place, we can
start working on the visual brand. Depending on the client, this may already
be well-defined, but you might also be defining the visual style from the
ground up. Tools like style tiles, moodboards, and element collages can help
with this process.
6. Testing: By now, you've got all your pages and defined how they display to
the site visitor, so it's time to make sure it all works. Combine manual
browsing of the site on a variety of devices with automated site crawlers to
identify everything from user experience issues to simple broken links.
7. Launch: Once everything's working beautifully, it's time to plan and execute
your site launch! This should include planning both launch timing and
communication strategies — i.e., when will you launch and how will you let the
world know? After that, it's time to break out the bubbly.

Techonology Used

Technology Used

Technologies used:

HTML

 The Body
 HyperText Markup Language (HTML)
 Content and basic structure
 Describes and defines
 Made up of tags
 Tells the browser what to display

HyperText Markup Language (HTML) can be broken down into HyperText, which
is what grants access to other texts through links, and Markup which outlines
the basic structure and appearance of raw text. What this means is that HTML
describes and defines the content and basic structure of the website. It does this
through a means of special tags or codes which tell the browser what to do.
HTML is the bare basics of a website.

An HTML only website can be compared to a functioning human body. Note, I

didn’t say fully-functional. An HTML only website has all of its body parts,
although it doesn’t offer much to look at because it doesn’t have any accessories
or personal style. At this stage, it’s also a body which is not capable of moving or
speaking. A website which consists of only HTML would probably look a little like
this:

This is where CSS comes in.

CSS

 The Accessories
 Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)

Vivekanand College,Kolhapur Page 15

KOLHAPUR TRAVEL

 Gives style and structure to the content

 Link the CSS file to the HTML
 Tells the browser how to display

A Cascading Style Sheet is the website’s accessories. It’s responsible for outlining
the colours, font and positioning of the content on a website. It adds some style
and structure to the content. In order to make use of the CSS capabilities it
needs to be linked within the HTML content so that style can be added to the
website. CSS will tell the browser how to display the existing HTML.

CSS can be compared to adding personal style to the body. When you link CSS to
HTML, it’s like dressing up the body. For example, you can choose a specific
colour shirt and match it with a specific colour pair of trousers. On a website,
you can choose the colour of the background or the font size of a heading and
much more. It’s important to note that CSS cannot live without HTML as there
would be nothing to style. Just like clothes or shoes would be pointless without
someone to wear them.

So by now you should have an understanding of how structure and style are
constructed on a website. A website that consists of HTML and CSS might looks
like this:

However, you can’t help but notice that something is missing. The web page is
lacking certain functions like a search box or options to comment. Right now the
body, with all its accessories, looks more like a mannequin in a store window
than a real human being. That’s where JavaScript comes in.

JavaScript

 The body’s ability to perform actions

 JavaScript is not Java
 Behaviour of the website
 Used for interactive functionality
 Allows for the user to interact with the browser

Conclusion and Suggestion

Conclusion
In the today’s time we are very much busy and stressed in our own daily work which
is necessary for the basic money needs of our life. Running behind the money we don’t care
or less care about many things like sweeping of the house, gardening of the garden, even our
own kids suffer a lot and security is a measure issue. So, by introducing this site we are
providing all types of servants mentioned above like Gardner, sweeper, and security. Servant
lookers provide all this service.
The price of hire a servant is also very less which will fit in every pocket. And we also keep
police check on all our employees. In short it is a very reliable site.

Salient Features:
At present the system caters maximum present needs. It has following features.
1. Easy to understand:
The structure of Organisation makes it easy to understand the whole system.
2. User Friendly:
The system is user friendly.
3. Time Saving:
We can get all information on the web site without visiting to that location.

Limitations:
There are some limitations in our site

To developed system has following limitations:

1)You cannot see the details of the servant without paying the money.

2)Once the servant has been hired you cannot hire the same servant.

3) site is in developing stage so it has some bugs sometimes we are working on the bugs with
our team.

4) We have not covered Crystal Reports and Batch Timing and Teacher alloacation
