Title: Two choices…

Page 1 (3 panels)
Panel 1:
Description: Through Jakutas eyes (FPP). Jakuta is looking
up and sees four Bandits looking into the pit and talking to
one and another.
Bandit 1: Well well…look what we have here.
Bandit 2: Oga mi (boss), he’s just a kid, do you thi…
Bandit 1: Are you blind or just dumb Aja? Can’t you see this
kid is from the palace? he is obviously the Prince.
Bandit 3: You can tell he is the prince? He looks expensive
but are you sure this is one of the princes?
Bandit 4: Does it matter right now? We’ve got a royal catch
here
Panel 2:
Description: From behind Bandit 1, we see Jakuta in the pit
and yelling at them (High angle)
Jakuta: Free me from this hole immediately! And I will
consider sparing your low lives
Bandit 2: Must certainly be the prince with that sort of
tone.
Panel 3:
Description: Full view of the scene, from behind Ajaka. We
see Ajaka braking his horse at the scene and in the
background, at the right side, we see the bandits around the
pit, two of the bandits have their heads turned to look at
Ajaka, one has a dumb surprised look on his face.
Ajaka: Get away from him! Or face my wrath!!
Bandit 4: Two princes in one day, today must be our lucky
day.
Page 2 (2 panels)
Panel 1:
Description: Focused view of the bandits. They are all in a
fighting stance. They have their weapons out in dramatic
ways and are ready to strike, bandit 1 is talking.
Bandit 1: Try not to kill him boys, the king would rather
pay for him back alive.
Panel 2:
Description: Bandit 3 rushes at Ajaka with his machete
raised in the air as he charges barbarically.

Panel 1(this is a split panel):
Left side:
Description: Extreme close up of Ajakas leg doing a sweep
and hitting the Bandits leg, knocking him off balance.
SFX: swoooshhh!!
Right side:
Description: Extreme close up, motion shot of Bandit 3’s
head hitting a small rock on the ground. We see an x-ray
view of bandit 3’s head, showing how his skull cracks on
impact with the rock.
Bandit 1 (outside the panel): You’re dead now kid!
Panel 2:
Description: Extreme close shot of Ajakas hand picking up
bandit 3’s machete from the ground, next to his lifeless
corpse. We can see bandit 3 from his mid-section up in this
panel and he has a dumb dead look on his face with his mouth
opened as blood pours out connecting with the pool of blood
coming from his head.
Bandit 1: Get him!!!!
Panel 3:
Description: full view of Ajaka standing tall and flexing
his shoulders and neck (warming up to attack the enemy). The
machete is now in his right hand.
Ajaka: Next…
Panel 4:
Description:
Action shot of Ajaka slicing Bandit 2’s weapon holding arm
off in action. We see the arm flying away after the slice
and the spill of blood that comes from it. Bandit 2 screams
in pain. Blood spills on the panel camera.
SFX: Slice

Panel 1:
Description: Inside the pit, we see Jakuta standing on his
horses back, trying to climb out of the pit as he reaches
for the edge.
Jakuta: If only I were taller…
Panel 2:
Description: From a distance, from Bandit 4’s rear view, we
see bandit 4 pulling an arrow out of his quail. In the
distance, we see Ajaka and Bandit 1 clash weapons into each
other.
Bandit 1: You little…
Panel 3:
Description: Small focused panel. Extreme close up of Ajakas
face, we see his eye looking to the side (As though he has
noticed something)
Panel 4:
Description: While bandit 4 is about to fix the arrow in the
bow, we see an action shot of Jakuta decapitating him with a
machete from behind. He slices his neck in a slightly slant
form (so the head can slide down after) Blood splashes out
from the quick motion of the machete on the panel camera.
Sfx of slice: Swiiiiifffff!!
Mini panel: We see the head of bandit 4 slide down his cut
neck and blood sprays up like a fountain (all this is in
silhouette, only color is the blood spraying up)
Sfx of blood spray: Sssppppffffffff!

Panel 1 (sequence panel):
Description (left side of panel): Action shot of Bandit 1,
breaking his lock with Ajaka
Description (right side of panel): Action shot of Bandit 1
using his elbow to knock Ajaka in the head.
Ajaka: Aaaarrrgghh!
Panel 2:
Description: low angle view of Bandit 1 (through Ajakas
eyes) standing before Ajaka and raising his machete up,
about to drop it on Ajaka who is on the floor. He has a
grim, wicked smile on his face.
Bandit 1: I’ll kill you and just sell you for parts, I’m
sure there’ll be buyers interested in a royal head.
Panel 3:
Description: We see Ajaka on the ground, with his head
turned and eyes shut tightly as he anticipates his immediate
death. The shadow of Bandit 1 casts over Ajaka. Blood spills
on Ajakas body.
SFX: SSpppfffff…
Bandit 1: AAArrrgghhhh!!!

Panel 1:
Description: Focused, close view of Bandit 1 hesitating as
he tries to touch his head and he is screaming. There is an
arrow piercing out of his right eye.
Bandit 1: My eyyeeeeee!!!
Ajaka: I’ll end your pain for you.
Panel 2:
Description: From Ajakas rear view, we see Ajaka driving a
machete into Bandit 1’s head from his jaw.
Panel 3:
Description: Ajaka is walking towards the camera with blood
stains all over him. He is talking to Jakuta.
Ajaka: What made you think this route was safe?
Jakuta: Are you really going to do this? Here? Now?
Jakuta (monologue caption): Maybe I’m still accepting the
truth.
Panel 4:
Description: Close up of Jakuta talking back with an angry
expression on his face, he is gesticulating with his hands
in the air.
Jakuta: What did I do wrong? I saw a possible chance to win
and I went for it.
Ajaka: You stupid boy!! You almost got killed and I risked
my life even saving you.
Page 7 (2 panels)
Panel 1:
Description: Side view of the scene, Jakuta is hitting his
chest with his hand as he yells at Ajaka.
Jakuta: Saving me?! I just saved you as well!! Why must you
always find fault and never compliment my deeds?
Ajaka: You are so stubborn!! Wait till father hears of…
Panel 2:
Description: Extreme close up of Jakuta looking suspicious
and he pouts his lips with his finger on them as he tries to
shush Ajaka.
Jakuta: Shhhhshhhh…do you hear that brother?
Ajaka: Hear what!?
Jakuta (monologue caption): Or I’m just scared

Panel 1 (spread on 2 pages):
Description: focused, full view of the scene. We see a huge
anaconda snake pull up behind Ajaka, while Ajaka is talking
to Jakuta with his arms spread out in gesticulation.
Ajaka: Why do you stare at me like you have seen an evil
spirit?
Jakuta (faint speech bubble): Ajaka prepare to run.
Panel 2 (can be at bottom right of page 9, and not so big to
avoid covering details to panel 1):
Description: We see Ajaka has turned around and he is now
staring up at the snake. The snake looks very frightening
and it brings out its tongue to hiss.
Ajaka: Oluwa ooo (dear God)
Snake hiss (sfx): hissssssss…
Jakuta monologue caption: The feeling of fear. Like cold
water running down my spine.
Page 10 (4 panels)
Panel 1:
Description: Wide shot, natural view of the sky. The clouds
are dark and gathering, and they are blocking the sun
gradually. We see a bird flying away.
Jakuta (monologue caption): The strong feeling of fear…
Panel 2:
Description: The giant scary anaconda snake uses its tail to
push Ajaka away with force. We see the action shot of Ajaka
flying away.
Note: Jakuta and Ajaka are still wearing their royal wears
from this panel down, as combat/action intensifies, you can
make it more rough/tattered.
Sfx: Gbam
Panel 3:
Description: We see the snake rushing towards Ajaka who has
hit a tree
Panel 4:
Description: Jakuta Stabs the snakes body with a machete
before it reaches Ajaka.
Jakuta: Run brother!!!
Jakuta (monologue caption): your senses suddenly heighten as
the fear surges all over you.
Page 11 (3 panels)
Panel 1:
Description: Extreme close up of the snakes face. The snake
is screaming in rage.
Snake (sfx): ssssskkkkaaaahhhhhhhhh!!
Panel 2:
Description: Distant shot of the snake grabbing Jakuta with
its tail.
Panel 3:
Description: focused view of the snake wrapping Jakuta
tightly with its body. Jakuta is struggling to resist and
has tears springing from his eyes
Jakuta: AAArrrrrggghhh!!!
Ajaka: Noooo!!!
Jakuta (monologue caption): Like thunder, it comes swiftly
and when the bolt hits right, it damages you.

Panel 1:
Description: Close up of the snake Swallowing Jakuta from
his head.
Panel 2:
Description: From inside the snakes head, Jakuta has his
head facing up, his eyes turn white and his neck begins to
glow like a dragon about to breath fire.
Jakuta (monologue caption): Eru n bami, aya mi n ja (The
fear makes my heart beat fast)

Description: Action shot of Jakuta breathing fire from his
mouth with his head facing up. The fire blows up fiercely
with full force as Jakuta is screaming and the Snakes head
has popped and scattered away (like it exploded). Little
blood drops and snake gut stains the panel camera. The
clouds have gathered in the sky and have turned dark ready
to pour down rain. Lightening appears in the clouds.
Jakuta (breathing fire SFX): fwoooosssshhhhh!!!
Ajaka (from below the panel): yeee!! Mogbe ooo!! Kileleyi!?
(I’m in trouble!! What is this!?)
Jakuta (monologue caption): Perhaps it’s meant to strike
more than fright and weakness.

Panel 1:
Description: Extreme close up of blood stained Jakuta
staggering as he holds his head, trying to maintain balance.
The clouds are all dark and thunder strikes. In the
background, we see the snake’s lifeless body.
SFX (thunder): Brrrlllmmmm!!!
Jakuta (monologue caption): Fear could be the strength that
builds my courage.
Panel 2:
Description: Ajaka rushes to go and hold Jakuta as he
faints. It has begun to rain and small puddles are forming
on the ground
Panel 3:
Description: Ajaka holds Jakuta in his arms. Jakuta is weak.
Ajaka: Brother! Brother!
Ajaka (thought bubble): How do I tell this to anyone, no one
would even believe me
Panel 4:
Description: Front view, distant shot of Ajaka kneeling on
the ground as he holds Jakuta in his arms. It rains heavily.
Ajaka: Where did you get such an ability from? Does Father
know?
Panel 5:
Description: Focused view of Jakutas face, his eyes are
faintly open and he is struggling to talk to Ajaka. He is in
Ajakas arms. Rain drops roll down Jakutas face.
Jakuta: Please don’t tell father. I don’t understand what
just happened but father cannot know.
Jakuta (monologue caption): I’m faced with two choices…

Panel 1:
Description: rear view of the scene, Ajaka is riding his
horse swiftly, Jakuta is at the back of the horse, holding
on weakly. It is still raining.
Ajaka: You need help, I won’t tell but I need to get you
home now.
Panel 2:
Description: distant shot of Ajaka riding his horse in the
rain with Jakuta in the back, they are approaching the front
of the palace entrance. We see the guards standing duty in
at the gate.
Ajaka: Get heeelllppp!! Nowww!! Hurry!!
Guard 1: huh? It’s the prince!
Panel 3:
Description: this panel has vignette effects. Through
Jakutas eyes that are almost closed, We see a guard rushing
to Ajaka on his horse to get Jakuta down. Ajaka is yelling.
Ajaka: Take him for care quickly.
Panel 4:
Description: Same effect as the previous panel. Through
Jakutas eyes, we see Ajaka is getting down from his horse
quickly. He is yelling.
Ajaka: sare lo!!! (Go quickly)

Panel 1:
Description: We see Oranmiyan, sitting on his throne with
his chin on his hands together (as though he is in thought)
Next to Oranmiyan, we see Torosi standing with one of her
hands on Oranmiyans shoulder.
Oranmiyan: Tell me how it happened.
Time caption: The next day…
Panel 2:
Description: Focused view of Ajaka standing before Oranmiyan
and explaining himself to him.
Ajaka: We were riding and…
Panel 3:
Description: Close shot of Ajakas face as he talks, his eyes
are shaky with water gathering in them as he is hesitating
to talk.
Ajaka: …and we rode deep in the forest, I was ahead of
Jakuta when I heard him scream. When I turned, I saw that he
got knocked off his horse by a huge tree branch.
Ajaka: He hit it hard father and got hurt bad, his horse
continued away. I put him on my horse and rushed him back
for care. That’s all that happened father.
Panel 4:
Description: Close shot of Oranmiyan with his eyes shut
tight as he frowns his face in disappointment.
Oranmiyan: He got knocked off a tree branch? That’s all that
happened?
Ajaka: Yes father.
Oranmiyan: He is always distracted, if not how else would he
miss to see a tree branch right in front of him!! How else
would this boy learn, @#%*&#!!

Panel 1:
Description: focused shot of Oranmiyan standing up from his
throne as he is talking. Torosi is reaching out to hold him
with her hand and she is talking.
Torosi: My king, please calm down…he is just a boy.
Oranmiyan: Let me be! This sort of pampering is what has
made him so careless and weak.
Oranmiyan: Bring me Sango! Immediately!
Panel 2:
Description: Front view of Jakuta standing before Oranmiyan.
Standing a bit behind at the right, we see Ajaka. Jakuta has
a bandage wrapped around his head and he looks pale. His
eyes are starring down.
Oranmiyan: I cannot be alive and watch you ruin my name.
Don’t you have any shame!? You fell off your horse Sango!
Were you blind boy!!
Panel 3:
Description: Oranmiyan is yelling at Jakuta.
Jakuta: Father I…
Oranmiyan: Silence!!
Oranmiyan: I do not wish to hear your silly excuse for
failure. If you cannot be trained within the palace walls,
then you shall be trained elsewhere.
Panel 4:
Description: Extreme close up of Oranmiyans face, he looks
fierce as he talks.
Oranmiyan: You will be taken to your Mothers land, Nupe.
There you shall grow and learn all you must, perhaps the
life of the palace isn’t right for you.
Oranmiyan: When you have become stronger, you shall return.
Your brother shall be my heir and you shall be better than
this. This is my judgment.
Torosi: Kabeyesi!! (my king!!)
Panel 5:
Description: We see Torosi throwing herself at Oranmiyan as
she tries to plead for Jakuta.
Torosi: Please reconsider, you would be separating the boys.
Oranmiyan: They were bound to be separated by fate, only one
can wear the crown. I have made up my mind.
Oranmiyan: Oyo mesi Bashorun would escort you to Nupe and be
your guardian. He would constantly check up on you and see
to it that you get trained.

Description: We see Jakuta wiping tears from his face with
his arms.
Jakuta (shaking speech): I’m sorry
Jakuta (monologue caption): To give in and embrace weakness…
Panel 2:
Description: we see Ajaka, Oranmiyan and Torosi standing
side by side. Only they are lighted (like spotlights on
them) and the entire background is pitch black (like a
suspenseful horrific spotlight scene). Their heads are bowed
down
Ajaka (faint): You’re weak
Torosi (faint): Prove us wrong
Note: The speech bubbles for Ajaka and Torosi in this panel
should have light red text to create a sense of horror in
their words
Panel 3:
Description: Extreme close up of Oranmiyans face. His eyes
are white, he has a wide, freaky smile on his face (like
joker) and his head is tilted a bit. The background is pitch
black like the previous panel.
Oranmiyan: Wake up Jakuta!!!

eyes. He is sweating and he has his eyes closed tight and
has a struggling expression on his face. (The middle of

Oba: Wake up Jakuta!!!
