part One
1-Try to write what we hear in the video :
A two shaft gas turbine draws in fresh air and compresses it
to higher pressure by means of an axial flow compressor ,the
compressed air is mixed with fuel in the combustion chamber
and burned increasing the energy level the result the hot gas
is then expanded the high pressure turbine where some of
the gas energy is converted into mechanical energy that
drives the compressor , the hot gas is further expanded
through the low pressure turbine that drives the load
equipment .

2- Write the names:

3-Write synonyms of the fllowing English in Arabic :

•Load : ‫حمل‬
•Blades: ‫شفرات‬
•Turbine: ‫العنفة او توربينة‬
• Flow: ‫تدفق‬
•Compressor : ‫ضاغط‬
•Combustion chambre : ‫غرفة الحتراق‬
• Fresh Drive : ‫عمود تحويل الحركة‬

4-The complete name of this device is:

PGT10B TWO-SHAFT GAZ TURBINE
5- the different components of this device:
Compression
Combustion
Expansion (turbine)
part two
Electrical hazard
Introduction:
Electricity is the primary source of energy and the backbone
of modern life, and it is the driving energy in various
industries. Its use is not without risk to humans and property,
and electrical hazards are certainly present in connections,
maintenance.
Electricity hazards
First: the electric shock
1- Connecting to both connections (live and neutral) at the
same time, and the body in this case is similar to the filament
of a bulb or motor windings, and the body in this case is
considered a resistance and electric current passes through it.
2- Connecting to the conductor carrying live current, Hot
wire, and the body in this case is considered a ground
connection.
3- Electrical short-circuit When the live hot wire touches the
metal parts and it becomes loaded with electrical energy and
as soon as it is touched, the electric shock occurs.(1)
Second: Electrical Burns
Injury may occur as a result of contact with electricity and
lead to burns in the hand or legs when the shock occurs on
the bare wires.(1)
Third: Arc – Blast
- Flashing and popping occur in the event that a high
current jumps from one conductor to another while the
electrical circuit is turned on or off.(1)
Fourth: Fires and Explosions
In the event of overloading the electrical circuits, the
temperature of the electrical wires increases, and this may
cause the insulating material to melt and burn, and thus the
plastic parts surrounding the electrical wires and equipment
burn out, which leads to a fire.
- In the event of sparks and crackling, and if flammable
materials are in place, they will ignite and may cause
explosions.(1)
Conclusion
In order to prevent electrical accidents, the electrical current
must be disconnected from any equipment or electrical
device before carrying out any maintenance operations on it,
and a sign (TAG) should be placed at the place of the
electrical disconnection stating this so that the electrical
current is not restored by anyone else. Do not wear rings,
watches and jewelry when working near electrical circuits...
