Baldur's Gate - Upper City

The Wide 2
The Wide is an entire district set out as a vase open-air marketplace and plaza, open to
Forgotten Realms/Abir-Toril Baldurians and outsiders alike. It is the busiest section of Baldur's Gate all throughout the
daytime hours. Due to the Upper City's strict curfew, it is largely empty at night.

Black Dragon Gate 7
This is the grand primary entrance into the city of Baldur's Gate, known for the
large stone sculpture of a black dragon head looming over the inner side of the
wall. Some time ago, the same space held an actual dragon head on display.

Sea Gate, Manor Gate, Gond Gate, Baldur's Gate, Heap Gate 8-12

These gates connect the Upper and Lower cities. Baldur's Gate has become a
symbol of the class struggle within the city, being the only one able to be crossed
by all Baldurians. The other four "patriar" gates serve only the noble patriar class.

Originally a military fortress, the High Hall now sees

houses feasts, gatherings, and other public
functions.

A grand temple to Gond, equipped with expansive
workshops, lecture halls, and the nearby Hall of
Wonders, a museum of holy relics of Gond.

Headquarters of the Watch, a civil


constabulary who are restricted to
keeping the peace in the city proper.

Silvershield Estate 5
The most grand estate in Baldur's Gate for one of
the oldest and most respected patriar families. The
entire estate is covered in Gondar inventions.
