1. Argument of the text:


The argument that this manifesto pointing at is independent films revival on Philippines.

First reason that supports the argument:


Philippines has one of the oldest film industries in Southeast Asia, and for many years
was dominated by big budget studio productions.

Other reasons:
 Digital technology and social media have led to what industry-watchers call “the
democratization of cinema” and “indie” revival.
 Some best-known actors are lining up to star in low budget productions from first-time
directors.
 More small-budget films are being produced than big-budget features.

Category of the Manifesto:


The manifesto is categorized under Goal because it shares to the reader the goal that
everyone will accept and appreciate and eventually believe in the argument presented.

2. Argument of the text:


The argument that manifesto pointing at is the declaration of Republic Act No. 10533
also known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.

First reason that supports the argument:


Maintain and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system of education relevant
to the needs of the people, the country and society-at-large.

Other reasons:
 Every graduate of basic education shall be an empowered individual who has learned.
 Create a functional basic education system that will develop productive and responsible
citizens equipped with the essential competencies, skills, values for both life-long
learning and employment.

The manifesto is categorized under World because the declaration is done by an
authority or authorized group to do the declaration and if it envisions change in the future.

3. Argument of the text:


The argument that manifesto pointing at is the strategies to prevent teen drug abuse.

First reason that supports the argument:


Uses and abuse of drugs can be prevented at a young age.

Other reasons:
 Know your teen’s activities.
 Establish rules and consequences
 Know your teen’s friends.
 Keep track of prescription drugs
 Provide support
 Set a good example

how to do things in a specific situation.

III: DEFENDING YOUR STAND:

Issue: Should community pantries be closed or not?

Stand: No

Argument: Community pantries can help needy people by means of offering foods and
soliciting donations from anyone willing to give, as many families go hungry during the
extended COVID-19 lockdown.

Evidence: Some Metro Manila LGU’s agree and permitted community pantries to operate and
they need to coordinate with the barangays so that they may be assisted with maintaining the
usual health and safety protocols as well as peace and order.
