Special Features/As Related to Pathogenesis

Cholinergic Urticaria

• Exercise to the point of sweating


provokes typical small, papular,
• highly pruritic urticarial lesions
• May be accompanied by
wheezing.
Cholinergic urticaria Small urticarial papules on
neck occurring within 30 min of vigorous exercise.
Papular urticarial lesions are best seen under side
lighting.

Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)

• (A) Severe edema of the face during an episode leading to grotesque disfigurement.
• (B) Angioedema will subside within hours. These are the normal features of the patient.
• The patient had a positive family history and had multiple similar episodes including colicky
