Personal Statement
For my next steps in education, I would like to study at Sixth Form. This is so that I can get the right qualifications to go
on to study performing arts at a top University, I would especially love to get into a London University. I aspire to
become an accomplished performer and get a job in the industry, ideally in a West End production. I have had this
dream from a young age and I have lots of performing experience.
I am a dedicated and focused student who likes to complete all tasks to the best of my ability. I enjoy working as part of
a team and helping others, I would describe myself as kind, friendly and reliable. I am excited by the thought of studying
at Sixth Form as I feel this is a great opportunity to push myself and learn new skills as well as gaining independence
and confidence.
I have taken dance classes since the age of 3. I currently do ballet, modern, tap, jazz, street dance, and musical theatre
at a local dance school as well as taking private singing lessons. This has allowed me to take part in several annual
shows as well as completing graded exams. My enthusiasm for theatre led me to get a part in the ensemble of Herne
Bay Youth Theatre’s production of ‘Oliver’ that is set to take place this year. As a family we try to see as many shows as
we can and often take trips to London to do so. My favourite show is Hamilton The Musical, however I have not had the
opportunity to see this at a theatre yet.

Although musical theatre is my passion, I am keen to study a range of A Levels as I feel that this will give me more
opportunities in the future as well as giving me a broad and well-rounded educational experience.

Why have you chosen the course(s)?

I am interested in taking these courses as they seem most interest to me. My main goal is to become an accomplished
performer and get a job in the industry, ideally in a West End production. I have had this dream from a young age and I

I am interested in taking Psychology and Sociology as I feel that these courses look really interesting. I am excited to
take on the challenge of new subjects and explore more about how people's minds work as well as applying the things I
have learnt in my current subjects to looking at aspects of society as a whole.
