My goal is to be a really great a pianist and join many competitions and concerts. The reason why I am interested
in Oberlin is because the school have so many great facilities such as the practice rooms and the hall. This really
interest me because it can give me more opportunities to develop as a pianist there. Another reason why I am
interested in Oberlin is because it is located in a safe and peaceful area

I believe I can benefit from an education at Oberlin because there are many opportunities there for me to do
more chamber music collaboration .I think I can learn more about music by having the opportunity to play with
them. There are also many great artist who came and give masterclasses at Oberlin. I think that going to many
masterclasses can give me more perspective about the music I play.

The most important reason why I found Oberlin intriguing is because of the faculties there. The faculty are all really
great artist and teacher and I would love to study with them. The opportunities to do a concert is also a main
reason why I want to study there because the more I do a concert, the more experience and mature I will be as a
pianist .

An experience that was really meaningful for me is when I won a competition at my country and have the chance
to perform in front of The president of Indonesia and many dignitaries at the presidential palace. This memory
was unforgetable and it always give me the motivation to study piano harder. I think about how not everyone have
that kind of chance and that I should always cherish my talents by studying hard.The challenges I experience in

my musical life, make me try more so that I can solve the challenges I faced. Everytime I am forced to go through
a challenge, I always think about the positive side of that challenge that I am facing . For example, there was a
time when I was working on a really difficult piece that is above my ability and for people older than me. My
teacher said that I would not be able to finish it, but I took the positive side of my teacher's words and make it an
encouragment for me to continue the struggle complete the piece well. After practicing it hard, my teacher finally
said that I was able to perform the piece well.From this challenge, I learn a valuable lesson that I must always look
at the bright side and take the critisicm as encouragement and continue to practice hard because everything that
is done seriously will always be succesful.
