PRESENT TENSE

FUNCTIONS:
1. To talk about repeated actions / events.
 I always get up at 5 AM.
 My dad usually drinks matcha latte in the
morning.
 Me and my family go on holiday every month.

2. General Fact
 Winter is cold
 The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
 Japan and Thailand are in Asia.
3. Something that is true in the present (temporary
situation/feeling)
  Moana stays in Mumbay this week.
 We are not home tonight.
 I like him a lot.
 She feels sleepy.

Adverb of Time:
Always : selalu Often : sering
Usually : biasanya Every : setiap
Seldom : jarang Sometimes: kadang-kadang
Never : tidak pernah Once a week : sekali seminggu

NOTE!
# Use S / Es for Verb after third person
singular (She, He, It)

>> He watches a lot of Korean dramas.

Joan hits three mosquitos on his face.

Cony misses her mom so much.

#Put -es after a verb ending with:

ss, ch, sh, o, x

#Don’t use tobe when you use verb

>> She is sends the package 

 NEGATIVE & INTEROGATIVE SENTENCE
With TOBE

AM : I

ARE : You, They, We

IS : She, He, It [3rd person singular]

Just add NOT to make a negative sentence.

Put the AuxV first, then the subject.

 The box is not heavy

 Are you afraid of the dark?
 Thor and Thanos aren't a farmer.
 Is it funny if I wear this shirt?
 I’m not mad at you.
NEGATIVE & INTEROGATIVE SENTENCE
Auxiliary Verb : Do / Does

DO : I, You, They, We

DOES : She, He, It [3rd person singular]

 Koala does not eat bamboo.

 Arif and Dindin don’t talk anymore.
 Do you save my whatsapp number?
 Does he say something about me?

NOTE:
#No need to put S / Es after the verb when
you use the aux V.
