The internal review-I of B.Arch Thesis 2022 is scheduled on 17th and 18th January 2022. Please read this document for
the complete details of panels, deliverables and marking criteria.

Note for Faculties:

1. All faculties are requested to complete the Jury of students in your respective panels as per the schedule and
submit the marks by 5pm on 18 January 2022
2. Each Faculty needs to submit the review marks in the format given in Annexure-II of this document.
3. The jury panel members shall discuss internally and inform the date and time of jury to the students under them.
4. It is suggested to keep a time limit of 30 minutes for each review.

B.ARCH THESIS 2022/SOAD/DIT UNIVERSITY

Note for Students:
1. All students shall give their jury as per the schedule. There will be no changes or re-scheduling thereafter.
2. Jury of each student will happen only for 30 minutes which includes 20 minutes of presentation time and 10
minutes for inputs from jury panelists.
3. All sheets shall be of same size and shall have proper title as required.
4. Please coordinate with faculty in your panel/your thesis guide for exact date & time slot of your review.

Deliverables for Internal Review -1, scheduled on 17th and 18th January 2022
1. Introduction (Synopsis)
a. Background (Problem statement, relevance and need for the study)
b. Aim
c. Objectives
d. Scope and Limitations

2. Literature Review
a. Relevant and necessary literature related from books / online sources / any other statistics, surveys,
etc.
b. Standards of various spaces for the project from various sources (can be books, guidelines, Policy
documents, recommendation guides etc.)
c. Formulation of design components/program (need not to have exact area program, just a list of what
spaces/components you are looking for your project along with the tentative area)

3. Site Selection and Justification

a. Justification: location map explaining surrounding context of the selected site and the impact of the
development going to be on the immediate surrounding context and may be on the whole locality /
neighborhood / city.

4. Brief Study of Identified Case Studies

a. A minimum of two case studies (if the case studies are sufficient enough to understand the designing
of a specific project)
b. Two or more case studies (in case two cases studies are not sufficient to completely understand all
design aspects)
