Choose 2 among the eight essential health services and then base on your
previous discussion relate these services in relation to implementation on your
respective locality.

First and foremost, I will select Health Education. For me, health education is a
critical step in achieving a healthy community. Providing objective learning improves
awareness, which I know has a significant impact on a community's health. Based on
my personal observations, individuals in our area prioritize having food on the table
over working on overall health. Furthermore, persons living in a small village receive
significantly less medical attention from health centers. Personally, I can't recall ever
receiving a home-to-home service or house-to-house education from a rural health
unit in our town. This prompted me to become a nursing student. If I am able to
become a nurse, I will be able to provide personal service as well as provide factual
evidence and lessons that I know can help to nourish their minds. Giving everyone in
the community an education will create a benchmark for sustaining a healthy
environment and a stable health state for the community. People can utilize the
teachings and knowledge they have gained from of their own health care professional.

One thing I'd like to teach in individuals is the significance of nutrition. When a
person is destroyed from within, creating a healthy atmosphere is meaningless.
Emphasizing the importance of creating healthy and nutritious food is also essential in
providing a better and healthier individual. This might be considered a prophylactic
strategy to help establish a healthier community. People would be less susceptible to
diseases since they would have an internal body defense and stability.Another issue is
that, among the necessities, I believe nutrition and diet were easier to achieve in our
community since menu and diet are easier to change in comparison to the others.
Because farming is widespread in this area, resources for a variety of complex diets
from a vegetable standpoint are freely accessible. Also, if people could realize the
right modifications that they can do to aggregate the body's fuel for daily use and
defense.
Narrative of the interview:

Mrs. Marissa's first choice for treating the illness of a family member has been
herbal medicine since that time. Growing up in the provinces and small towns where
resources were scarce, they chose to adopt alternative medicine to supplement the
basic necessities available at the time.

Here are some of the natural medicines that they have regularly utilized to treat
diseases or illnesses:

Lagundi- she claims to have used this to treat common colds and coughs. She
stated that it is utilized by boiling. In this case, the boiled extract was administered to
a sick relative. Another approach is to dry the leaves and transform them into powder,
which is then put into a juice. Though the flavor isn't particularly nice, she claims that
by using this herbal treatment, they were able to avoid a worse predicament.

Sambong- similar to lagundi, sambong has been used to cure coughs. Sambong
has been designated as a medicinal plant based on recent research. Sambong has been
cooked with water to produce an extract for cough treatment. Because of its harsh
taste, many people are unable to consume the aforementioned herbal remedy.

Luya (sore throat)- with medical assistance. Luya is accustomed to clearing sore
throats. According to her, the cooling impact of the Luya could clear the rising throat.
This luya can be consumed in a variety of ways. To begin, this could be served as tea,
in which it is blended with warm water and eaten in modest amounts depending on
taste tolerance. Another has finished sipping it like a fresh cut. Direct sipping of sliced
garlic is more efficient, and some people like it because it is easier to do and prepare.

Luyang dilaw (lagnat/infection)- In small towns, luyang dilaw has traditionally

been used to treat fever. It is served by grating the luyang dilaw and extracting the
juices from it. Foul odor and color patches is possible after getting contact with the
turmeric. With the ability of luyang dilaw to be an antibiotic, it aids in the treatment
of internal infections. Because Luyang dilaw aids the immune system in defeating the
causal agent of fever, it helps to clear fever faster than predicted.
Oregano (cough)- it has been proposed that oregano be served cooked with
water. The tea is made from the mixture's extract. In little towns like sariaya, oregano
is believed to be used and popular in the same way that lagundi is. Oregano is bitter as
indicated, and it is supposed to provide relief after an hour of consumption, and it can
cure for around 2 days on a regular basis.

Tuba is a common herbal medicine that might not be related to the

aforementioned herbal medicine. It is used as a topical treatment. It is linked to
stomach ache and a fracture. It is thought to relieve internal discomfort due to its wet
and cooling properties. This may appear weird, but it has been a common and long-
used technique for a long time.

Leaves atis na tagalog- atis na tagalog is also used topically. It is tied in a hurting
portion, specifically the head, just like tuba. It performs the same duties as a tuba, but
many people prefer it for the head because it is smaller in size and has a more
comfortable feel for the skin on the face.

The following were the most common herbal medicine in the interviewee's
immediate surroundings. The data shown above were translations of the interviewee's
exact words. The majority of the aforementioned were well-known herbal medicines
that had been used, and proven to be effective.
