“You are what you eat”

On a daily basis we see ourselves in front of a mirror, on a mirror we see our

physical self. But what do reflects our inside, our literal internal self. On the quotation
made by Ludwig Feuerbach he said that, “You are what you eat”.

But how do we really define this fruitful quotation? A human is a reflection of

what he/she eats healthy foods. On a literal sense a man who ingests good food could
have a good life. A person is slim because he/she diminishes food intake, a person
could be chubby as he/she ingests extra foods. A healthy being is produced by a
healthy diet. On one of the quotation and I quoted, ”prevention is better than cure” we
can categorize and connect on the quotation made by Ludwig. If we learn how to filter
and identify what we are about to eat then a great body composition could be made
and maintained.

On a literal sense here are some examples that would display what the quotation
means. A person who eats lots of vitamin A could possibly has a sharp and keen eyes.
A person who is a monster protein eater could have a thick and healthy muscles as
proteins helps to rebuild tissues on our muscles. A person who loves milk and other
rich in calcium foods could get a strong body supported by the strong bones, again
thanks to calcium. A person who ate tomatoes often could have a healthy heart and a
great healthy skin. This is how “you are what you eat” works. We must remember that
illness and pain couldn’t be sometimes felt at a young age and this is where our
famous Filipino saying “Nasa huli ang pagsisisi”. Our food intake may not quickly
reflect what we are today, but what about tomorrow and the next few years? Just
remember think before you eat.

Focus of the essay: To enumerate facts, advantages and disadvantages of being picky
on what we are about to eat.
