Introduction
As technology continues to advance, information’s disseminates easily with no
hassles and it has been a common part of our everyday needs in this world. Rapid
advances in technology have helped to meet these demands of the society.
The success of the school in carrying out its primary charge of educating and
socializing students is contingent on student’s awareness in the school. Nowadays, most
educators find it easy to have a website in their school not just because they can access
it through online but of course it promotes the school and a strong home-school
connection.
Tanjay National High School is located at Brgy. 9 Opao Tanjay City. It is a
government school that has one of the greatest population of student in the whole town
of Tanjay City. Also, it is a competitive school that focuses both academic and non-
academic activities. Tanjay National High School take pride in delivering an excellent
education within a warm and nurturing environment. Students can grow and develop
socially, emotionally and academically in a supportive environment. With the help of the
website, news, announcements, activities or events, information’s and others can be
post not only at the bulletin board but also can be access at home or anywhere.
Statement of the problem
The present undertaking tried to inform, analyze, design, develop and implement
a user friendly online school website of Tanjay National High School. Specifically, the
study sought answers to the following questions:
1. Why is it necessary to make a website for Tanjay National High School?

2. What are the requirements needed in the development and implementation of
the proposed website?
3. What is the importance of making a website for Tanjay National High School
in relation with the teachers, parents and students?
4. How effective is the proposed website in terms of its functionality?
Objectives
The study aimed to analyze, to design, to develop, to test, and to implement with
an effective and useful school website, specifically this is intended to:
1. The students are updated on what may happen in their school.
2. Let the visitors be able to know some information about the school.
3. The parents can also be updated even without visiting the school premises.
4. Students may no longer depend on the bulletin board just to know the events
and announcements of the school and;
5. To promote Tanjay National High School.
Significance of the study
This study is important because the proposed website will help Tanjay National
High School to make work easier, more accurate, organize and secure.
To the students: The said website is a great help to the students for its accuracy and
reliability. Also, to be aware of the school’s information, activities, events and others
even at home. Everything they need, as mention above, will no longer a hassle for them

to know because through this website, they will be informed and easier for them to know
the things happening inside the school.
To the parents: It is useful for the parents so that they can track on their children’s
activities without the hassle of traveling just to visit the school.
To the school, faculty and staff: It would be a great help to the school especially
through disseminating information’s, announcements and others. The study further
offered future school principal and school boards with historical data upon which to base
their decisions as they deliberate on future policies for possible adoption. Also, it
promotes the schools productivity in terms of academic and non-academic studies.
Scope
In order to meet the project deadline, we the researcher formulated the scope of
this project to identify the boundaries of this study. The website, which is going to be the
output of the study, is simply going to transition Tanjay National High School’s method of
promoting, informing and handling data to a computerized one such as, allowing the
students, parents and visitors to view some information of the institution, recording all
the necessary information with regard from the students, has the capability to keep in
track the records of the student, allowing parents and students to access anytime they
want, and providing features that make the school part of a member’s daily functions.
Limitations
In making the website, limitations should be understood and planned for before
the research process starts, whilst others become apparent during or after the research
process. Information and functions that are excluded in the website are as follows; the

website is exclusively for the administrator’s use, and only the admin is authorized to edit
any data and do some changes in the website.

Important Findings
After studying and gathering all the information needed, the researchers have
found out that the Tanjay National High School is using a manual way of handling their
files and records of their students. They do not have a system or software to keep their
records. It will cause visitors to be hassle just for knowing the information about the
school and students depend on the bulletin board just to know the events and
announcements of the school.
In addition, the researchers have also found out that Tanjay National High
School currently has no official website. They had experienced hustle on the spreading
of public information and announcements about their school.
Recommendations
Based on the findings that have found out, the researcher recommend that
Tanjay National High School need to implement an official website for their school to
help solving all the problems mentioned above.

Tanjay National High School website proposed by the researchers will gratify all the
problems that the school has encountered. Through this system, the school can use it as
their database to pile up information about their records.
This will serve as way for the Tanjay National High School to be acknowledged
to the public. They can locate their records with hassle-free. It can also help them to
search their files and records straight away.
Impact
The developed and implemented official website for Tanjay National High School
is important because it will be more noticeable to the public. Furthermore, it would have
a huge impact to the following:
School, Faculty and Staff: They are the one who will use the system to keep
their files and records. It would be a big help to the school especially through
disseminating information’s, announcements and others. It is also a big help to the users
for its truthfulness and steadfastness.
Visitor: It is useful to the visitor to search all the information and other important
announcements. In addition, they would know all about the school.
Researchers: The result of the study will conduct the researchers to have more
understanding about the information of Tanjay National High School for the future use.

Initial Planning. The researchers had an initial planning which involves forming of group
to share ideas, opinions and to divide the task. The researchers were divided into
subgroups to complete the task in its expected date which was making the
documentation and the other subgroup constructed and developed the application.
Planning and Requirements. In this phase the requirements for the software were
gathered and analyzed. This produces a complete and final specification of
requirements. And also, the researchers then chose the best tools and methods to be
followed in the development of the application.
Analysis and Design. The researchers decided on what program language to use so
that the researchers are comfortable to work with. The researchers then started
prototyping, designing, and coding. After the researchers had done designing and
coding, the researchers then test multiple parts of the system acting together to
determine if they were fit to use. Debugging also occurred in this phase to find defects in
the program and fixed then soon as possible.

Testing and Deployment. The researchers were simultaneously testing the program
until there was a fully functional software application ready to be deployed to users. And
also, additional features can be designed, developed and tested. This phase also
involved final testing which was done after fixing bugs and the documents finalization.
Evaluation. The researchers conducted had an evaluation. These involves the
operation, maintenance and feedback. In this phase it operates and maintains the
functions of the software including the feedbacks for a better application.

services provides a complete solution for the school website.
 Full screen. For many parents and pupils their very first contact with your school
will be through the school website. Creating a great first impression is therefore
essential and a full screen will add that extra dimension demanding parents
expect these days, allowing them and their children to see the school and
experience some of the main features in an interesting and unique way before
visiting in person.
 Advertisement. Advertisement in the website to inform school and alumni
merchandise then the websites provides everything you need.

The following are the key players of when the project will be doing well:
Users. They are the people who will use the project to make their work faster and
easier.
Admin. The one who holds the treatment for the website.
Researchers. They are the one who made the system possible. In accumulation, they
make the study on what is the problems and they give the solution through making a
system for their client.
Clients- They are the people involved in the actual implementation of the system.
Administrator- They are responsible for the treatment of the website.
Researchers- They are the ones who made the system possible.
Software Requirements
Software requirements defines how the intended software will interact with
hardware, external interfaces, speed of operation, response time of system, portability of
software across various platforms, maintainability, speed of recovery after crashing,
security, quality, and limitation. The requirements received from client are written in

natural language. It is the responsibility of system analyst to document the requirements
in technical language so that they can be comprehended and useful by the software
development team.
Logo Tasks
Adobe Photoshop is used to edit or make certain images for
our system. So that, our stem would look good in its design and
graphics. The interface was then lay-out, edited and designed
according to the client’s request using this application.

XAMMP is used to run and interprets the scripts written in the
PHP and Perl programming languages. Version

phpMyAdmin is used to handle the administration of MySQL
with the use of a Web browser. It will be the one that creates,
modifies, and deleting databases, tables, fields or rows,
executing SQL statements or managing users and
permissions.

especially suited for Web development and can be embedded
into HTML.
HyperText Markup Language is the main markup language
for displaying web pages and other information that can be
displayed in a web browser.

Hardware Requirements
There are no specific hardware requirements in making a website. Almost any
PC computer on which you can connect to the internet, will be sufficient. Of course,
processes execution will be slower on the less powerful computers. Therefore hardware
requirements should be dependent on the characteristics of processes execution.
Network Specification and Layout
When we start building up a website for Tanjay National High School, it becomes
increasingly necessary to know what would be the network requirements and its layout.
To make this process easier we’ve collected all the network requirements.

 Wireless router- it is used to provide access to the Internet or a private computer
network. A wireless router works in the same way as the router in a hard-wired
home or business local area network (LAN), but allows greater mobility for
notebook or portable computers. The individual computers are equipped with
small wireless transceivers that can be plugged into either a Universal Serial Bus
(USB) port or a PC card slot.
 Personal Computer- relatively inexpensive computer designed for an individual
user and use by one person at a time. Through this, user could see attached
terminals for multiple users to a single large computer whose resources where
shared among all users.
 Browser- is a software application used to locate, retrieve and display content on
the World Wide Web pages, images, video and other files. As a client/server
model, the browser is the client run on a computer that contacts the Web server
and requests information.

Glossary
 Database - a structured set of data held in a computer, especially one that is
accessible in various ways.
 File - a folder or box for holding loose papers that are typically arranged in a
particular order for easy reference.
 Official Website - An internet page maintained by a person or organization with
a professional involvement in the data topic.
 Record - a thing constituting a piece of evidence about the past, especially an
account of an act or occurrence kept in writing or some other permanent form.
 Software - the programs and other operating information used by a computer.
 System software - is computer software designed to operate and control the
computer hardware and to provide a platform for running application software.
System software can be separated into two different categories, operating
systems and utility software.
 Tanjay National High School - It is a government school that has one of the
greatest populations of student in the whole town of Tanjay City.

Conclusion
In this paper, the design of the Tanjay National High School website is
presented. Opinions that have been asked gives a positive feedback in making the
website. In addition, the client finds the proposed system more effective in their school
by disseminating information’s and with parent’s awareness and also due to the
increased of efficiency by reducing manual posting of announcements and informations.
Finally, it is recommended to automate other manual transactions in order to improve the
productivity for the client.
