State Bank of India increases the IMPS transaction limit

स्टे ट बैंक ऑफ इं हिया ने बढाई IMPS ट् ांजेक्शन हलहमट

 The State Bank of India (SBI) has increased the limit on Immediate
Payment Service (IMPS) transactions from ₹2 lakhs to ₹5 lakhs as per the
directions of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
 भारतीय स्टे ट् बैंक (एसबीआई) ने भारतीय ररजवि बैंक (आरबीआई) के हनदे शों के अनुसार
तत्काल भुगतान सेवा (आईएमपीएस) ले नदे न की सीमा ₹2 लाख से बढाकर ₹5 लाख कर दी
िै ।
 This will be effective from 1 February 2022.
 यि 1 फरवरी 2022 से प्रभावी िोगा।
 State Bank of India (SBI) has not levied any sort of service charges on
immediate payment service (IMPS) transactions up to Rs. 5 lacs, done
through internet banking/mobile banking including YONO.
 भारतीय स्टे ट् बैंक (SBI) ने YONO सहित इं ट्रनेट् बैंहकंग / मोबाइल बैंहकंग के माध्यम से
हकए गए 5 लाख रुपये तक के तत्काल भुगतान सेवा (IMPS) ले नदे न पर हकसी भी प्रकार का
सेवा शु ल्क निीं लगाया िै ।
 For branch channels, there has been no change in the service charges for
IMPS done for amounts below Rs 2 lakh through the branch channel in the
existing slabs.
 शाखा चैनलों के हलए, म़ौजू दा स्लैब में शाखा चैनल के माध्यम से 2 लाख रुपये से कम की
राहश के हलए हकए गए IMPS के सेवा शुल्क में कोई बदलाव निीं हकया गया िै ।
  However, from February 1, customers have to pay a service charge of Rs. 20
along with GST on IMPS transactions slab of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for
transactions at the bank.
 िालां हक, 1 फरवरी से ग्रािकों को बैंक में ले नदे न के हलए 2 लाख रुपये से 5 लाख रुपये के
IMPS ले नदे न स्लैब पर GST के साथ 20 रुपये का सेवा शुल्क दे ना िोगा।

Union Bank of India starts lending in Alternate Reference Rate (ARR)

 Union Bank of India (UBI) has announced that for the purpose of lending it
has replaced London Inter-Bank Offered Rate (LIBOR) with Alternate
Reference Rate (ARR).
 यूहनयन बैंक ऑफ इं हिया (UBI) ने घोर्णा की िै हक उधार दे ने के उद्दे श्य से उसने लं दन
इं ट्र-बैंक ऑफर रे ट् (LIBOR) को वैकप्लिक संदभि दर (ARR) से बदल हदया िै ।
 ARR includes Secured overnight financing rate (SOFR) for USD loans,
Sterling Overnight Interbank Average (SONIA) for GBP loans, etc.
 एआरआर में यूएसिी ऋणों के हलए सुरहक्षत ओवरनाइट् हवत्तपोर्ण दर (एसओएफआर),

foreign currency bonds issuance from India.

 The firm raised USD 1.5 billion at a coupon rate of 2.875 percent, USD 1.75
billion at 3.625 percent, and USD 750 million at 3.75 percent.

All About PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises Scheme

 The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has launched the PM

Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME) scheme
as a part of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’.
  The Scheme is expected to generate a total investment of Rs. 35,000 crore
and 9 lakh skilled and semi-skilled employment.
Features

One District One Product (ODOP) Approach:

 The States would identify food products for districts keeping in view the
existing clusters and availability of raw material.
 The ODOP could be a perishable produce based or cereal based or a food
item widely produced in an area. E.g. mango, potato, pickle, millet based
products, fisheries, poultry, etc.
Other Focus Areas

 Waste to wealth products, minor forest products and Aspirational Districts.

Financial Support

 Existing individual micro food processing units desirous of upgrading their

units can avail credit-linked capital subsidy at 35% of the eligible project
cost with a maximum ceiling of Rs 10 lakh per unit.
 Support would be provided through credit linked grants at 35% for
development of common infrastructure including common processing facility,
lab, warehouse, etc. through FPOs/SHGs/cooperatives or state owned
agencies or private enterprise.
 A seed capital (initial funding) of Rs. 40,000- per Self Help Group (SHG)
member would be provided for working capital and purchase of small tools.
Duration

 It will be implemented over a period of five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25.

Funding Details

 It is a centrally sponsored scheme with an outlay of Rs. 10,000 crore.

 The expenditure under the scheme would be shared in 60:40 ratio between
Central and State Governments, in 90:10 ratio with North Eastern and
Himalayan States, 60:40 ratio with UTs with legislature and 100% by
Centre for other UTs.

Rs. 14,199 Crores, in Lucknow for 16 National Highway projects worth Rs.

 It is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, National

country.

Recent Update about Smart Cities Mission (SCM)

 The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) extended the timeline
for the implementation of the Smart Cities Mission (SCM) for all 100
participating cities to June 2023 due to the COVID-19 induced slowdown and
other factors.
 The Mission was launched in the year FY 2015-16 & set a target of five years
i.e., FY 2019-20.
  This decision is also based upon the recommendations made by NITI
(National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog in August 2021.
 The central government has released Rs 27,235 crores to states and union
territories (UTs) for their smart cities.

Punjab government approves one-time internet allowance for students

पं जाब सरकार ने छात्रों के हलए एकमुश्त इं टरनेट भत्ते को मंजूरी दी

 The Punjab cabinet has decided to give Rs 2,000 as a one-time internet

allowance to all the students studying at higher educational institutions.
 पंजाब कैहबनेट् ने उच्च हशक्षण संस्थानों में पढने वाले सभी छात्रों को एकमुश्त इं ट्रनेट् भत्ता के
रूप में 2,000 रुपये दे ने का फैसला हकया िै ।
 The cabinet also gave ex-post facto approval to increase honorarium of
anganwadi workers, mini anganwadi workers and helpers by Rs 1,400, Rs
1,000 and Rs 1,050 per month, respectively.
 कैहबनेट् ने आं गनबािी कायिकताि ओ,ं हमनी आं गनबािी कायिकताि ओं और सिाहयकाओं के
मानदे य में िमश: 1,400 रुपये, 1,000 रुपये और 1,050 रुपये प्रहत माि की वृप्लि को पूवि-
पिात स्वीकृहत दी।
 The state government has introduced an assured annual hike in the

 The District Good Governance Index (DGGI) framework has 58 indicators
drawn from different aspects of development and district administration
distributed in an all-encompassing 10 sectors such as agriculture and allied
sector, commerce and industry, human resource development, public health,
public infrastructure and utilities, economic governance, welfare and
development, public safety and judiciary and citizen-centric governance.

'अनाथों की मााँ ' के रूप में लोकहप्रय हसंधुताई सपकाल का हनधन

 Social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, who was called as ‘Mother of Orphans’

passed away on January 04, 2022 at the age of 73 years due to heart attack.
 सामाहजक कायिकताि हसंधुताई सपकाल, हजन्ें 'अनाथों की मााँ ' किा जाता था, का 04 जनवरी,
2022 को 73 वर्ि की आयु में हदल का द़ौरा पडने से हनधन िो गया।
 She was also referred to just as ‘Sindhutai’ or ‘Mai’
 उन्ें केवल 'हसंधुताई' या 'माई' के रूप में भी जाना जाता था।
 Sindhutai Sapkal was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021 in the Social Work
category.
 हसंधुताई सपकाल को 2021 में सामाहजक कायि श्ेणी में पद्म श्ी से सम्माहनत हकया गया था।
 She adopted close to 2,000 orphans and is grandmother to even more.
 उसने करीब 2,000 अनाथों को गोद हलया और इससे भी ज्यादा की दादी िैं ।
 She was from Maharashtra.

 A biopic on her life titled “Mee Sindhutai Sapkal“ was released in the year
2010.
