the inspection mode here, click on the “OK” button while leaving the barcode window

7. Press the “Start Test” button on the VPLC panel so the


conveyor will load the board into the machine with
subsequent scanning process.

8. When the scan is complete, the inspection result will be sent to the
repair station automatically in auto mode. Otherwise, user will need to
press the “Fail” button manually to proceed this procedure in confirm
mode.

1. Check if the Insert Data application is running. This program should start with the repair
station computer startup. If not, please start the program so the Insert Data dialog will appear
as shown above. Once the AXI machine complete its inspection, the data will first be sent to
the repair station’s C drive, and the “Insertdata” will then move the data from C drive to D
drive (by default) in folders categorized by date and model name. The files which have been
successfully transferred in this way will be displayed in both the message boxes “Before/After
Insert into DB” as shown in figure below.

7. Switch to “Online” mode and click “Query” to obtain unconfirmed board list. Number displayed
on the right hand side is the number of unconfirmed units.

8. In Offline mode, type in the barcode manually or using


barcode scanner, and then click “Query” to retrieve the
board data.

9. Board Status Identification:


i. FAIL: The inspection result of the board is labeled FAIL and the board is not yet
confirmed by user.
ii. PASS: The inspection result of the board is PASS.
iii. REPAIR: The inspection result of the board is FAIL and the board is confirmed as true
defect board by user.
iv. SKIP: The inspection result is SKIP or the board is confirmed as a SKIP board by user.
(SKIP board will not be included in the statistic data.)
v. RPASS: The inspection result of the board is FAIL and the board is confirmed as a
PASS board by user.

10. Enhance the image quality of the defects by pressing the above buttons,
and move the slide on the right for brightness adjustment.

11. “Slice Image Count” is a 3D slice indicator showing what focal plane of the
component users are looking into.

13. Retrieve the board data in “Offline Mode” in the main program or in the “Archived
Data” on the repair station menu.
14. For quick access to a single board defect data, offline mode is best to retrieve the
data with handy barcode (please refer to the page 25).

15. Information regarding the board defects can be found in the Archived data by
selecting the time interval, model name and station properly.
16. In general, if user want to review multiple board status at once, one should do
this with “Archived Data”.
