Amigurumi Classical Teddy Bear is crocheted in the round. Do not join rounds.
Mark the beginning of your rounds with a stitch marker or safety pin. I use yarn
to mark the rows, choose the best way for yourself how to mark the rows.
Size: with 2mm crochet hook:
Approx. 23 cm/9.1 inc
Tools and materials what you´ll need:
Cotton or bamboo yarns (here: Austermann, Bambou Soft), 6-10mm black,
brown or any other colour safety eyes you like, for filling: sheep wool or fiberfill

Crochet skill level:
This pattern requires knowledge of basic crochet terms: Crocheting in the
round, forming a magic ring, single crochet stitch (sc), single crochet increase
(Inc), single crochet invisible decrease (Invdec), working with back loop
(Bl sc) and joining pieces together.
Terms:
“Magic ring”: adjustable loop with 6 sc, pulled together tightly, there is no
hole left.
“Neat finish”: one method to finish a toy piece in amigurumi. I will describe it
my pattern as well.
Abbreviations used:
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Invdec – invisible decrease
Bl sc– back loop
3 sc in one – 3 sc into 1 sc

Here you can see the eye placement, I put them between 5th and 6th row,
they are going to be really close to nose, look the head shape for that. I
used 6mm safety eyes.
For stuffing use the other side of the crochet hook, stuff the head really tight.

Then I take the end of the yarn and thread it into the middle of the head, to
hide the yarn.

Attaching head to body. I use pins. The end of the body part will remain just
on a right side of the teddy then I start joining. Look the body shape. The
larger curve should be on the backside of the teddy.

stronger for handling.

I like to use pins to attach body parts temporarily just to see how my teddy
bear is going to look like. Take care not to prick yourself! Here you can see
that I place ears, hands and legs on a same line.

I always begin attachment at the other side of the ear to help give lovely
curve.
The curve is done – half of the ear is attached. Now you can remove pins.
You can also twist a bit of the ear to get a better attachment.
