; ‘VERITY BAPTIST CHURCH MANILA Sal To Whom It May Concern: {am writing on the behalf of Richard Duran to request a religious exemption from the required Vaccinations for his work. As Independent Fundamental Baptists, we are conflicted as we have learned ‘more about the components that are in, or were used to produce many of these vaccines. Upon studying the components of vaccines, we have learned that DNA and protein from aborted babies have been used in the production of these Vaccines. The cells were obtained from aborted fetuses in order to produce a cell line for these vaccines. Jeremiah 1:5 states, “Before l formed thee in the belly knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, | sanctified thee, and | ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” The bible teaches that life begins at conception, and this conflicts with our beliefs as Independent Fundamental Baptists. In addition to that, there are verses in the Bible that we believe would require us to abstain from receiving this vaccine. 2 Corinthians 6:16-17 states “™* And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, will dwell in them, and walk in them; and | will be their God, and they shall be my people. "” Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and | will receive you.”. Since our bodies are the temple of God, we are not to harm our bodies with any unclean substances also why we abstain from drugs, smoking and alcohol. Although Brother Richard Duran has received vaccines in the past, he has since converted to being an Independent Fundamental Baptist and has expressed his concern with sinning against his own conscience. Having become more aware of the components that are used in these vaccines, we believe it ‘would be wrong for us to take these vaccines. At the same time, Richard Duran will take great precautions against this deadly virus including guidelines set forth by the Department of Health in regards to social distancing, wearing face masks, wearing face shields and any other requirements or recommendations. ‘Asan Independent Fundamental Baptist, Brother Richard Duran believes taking this vaccine would conflict against his conscience and his bible beliefs.
