1. Planning Information

A. Effectivity
PT6E-67XP (BS1369) Engines which are before and include Serial No. PCE-HP0101,
and including HP0108, HP0109, HP0110, HP0123 and HP0125.

B. Concurrent Requirements

None.

C. Reason

(1) Problem

The engine or EEC wiring harnesses connectors at firewall location may not make
appropriate contact with firewall connection.

(2) Cause

The engine or EEC wiring harnesses connection at firewall may not be optimal.

(3) Solution

Do an inspection of the engine and EEC wiring harnesses connector backshell at

firewall location.

D. Description

The function of this inspection is limited to the following four firewall connectors and
associated harnesses (Ref. Fig. 1):
1. EEC Harness P/N 3135057-01, Connectors J7F and J8F
2. Engine Harness P/N 3135056-01, Connectors P7F and P8F

NOTE: This inspection can be done while the harnesses are still mounted on the
aircraft firewall.

E. Compliance

CATEGORY 3 - P&WC recommends to do this service bulletin within 600 hours or 12

months, whichever occurs first, from the original release date of this
Service Bulletin.

3. Accomplishment Instructions

A. Do an inspection of the four firewall connectors and associated harnesses (Ref Figure
1):

(1) EEC Harness P/N 3135057-01, Connectors J7F and J8F

(2) Engine Harness P/N 3135056-01, Connectors P7F and P8F

NOTE: This inspection is done while the harness are still mounted on the aircraft
firewall.

B. Do an inspection of the EEC Harness connectors J7F and J8F as follows:

WARNING: REMOVE POWER TO AIRCRAFT/EEC BEFORE DOING THE HARNESSES

INSPECTION. (REF. TO AMM).

(1) Access forward lower accessory bay door per AMM (Ref. Fig. 2).

(2) Locate J7F and J8F connectors at rear aircraft firewall (Ref. Fig. 1).

(a) For each connector, put your thumb and forefinger on to the backshell of
connector, next to but not on the coupling ring (Ref. Fig. 3).

(b) Try to rotate the backshell, like an unscrew movement in both directions,
clockwise and counterclockwise.

NOTE: 1. Do not shake up and down the wiring harness to do the inspection.

NOTE: 2. When doing the inspection, grip backshell to try to rotate the
connector and do not grip the harness.

(3) If no play is felt, the backshell and connector are serviceable.

(4) If any rotational movement or looseness is felt, replace the harness per EMM:
v Ref. Removal PT6E67-0A-73-20-05-00A-520A-A.
v Ref. Installation PT6E67-0A-73-20-05-00A-720A-A.

NOTE: EEC harness replacement can be procured in any PWCS warehouse

using a no-charge PO.

(a) If EEC harness replacement is required, tell P&WC via

PT6E.CustomerEngineering@PWC.CA with information of A/C tail number, A/C
Serial number, Engine Serial Number and wiring harness serial number
along with reference to SB 75026.

C. Do an inspection of the engine Harness connectors P7F and P8F as follows:

(1) Access Aft engine bay left side door per AMM (Ref. Fig. 2).

(2) Remove starter/gen1 and 2 air cooling ducts to gain access to engine harness
connectors at aft aircraft firewall per AMM (Ref. Fig. 4).

NOTE: Unscrew all attached clamps and remove whole Gen 1 and Gen 2 air
cooling duct assembled (Ref. Fig. 4).

(3) Remove cable tie and bolt/nut on blanket on aft firewall to access engine harness
connectors per AMM (Ref. Fig. 5).

(4) Locate P7F and P8F connectors at aft aircraft firewall (Ref. Fig. 1).

(5) For each connector, put your thumb and forefinger on to the backshell of connector,
next to but not on the coupling ring (Ref. Fig. 3).

(a) Try to rotate the backshell, like an unscrew movement in both directions,
clockwise and counterclockwise.

NOTE: 1. Do not shake up and down the wiring harness to do the inspection.

NOTE: 2. When doing the inspection, grip backshell to try to rotate the
connector and do not grip the harness.

(6) If no play is felt, the backshell and connector are serviceable. Go to Step 8.

(7) If any rotational movement or looseness is felt, replace the harness per EMM:

NOTE: Engine harness replacement can be procured in any PWCS warehouse

using a no-charge PO.

(a) If Engine harness replacement is required, tell P&WC via

PT6E.CustomerEngineering@PWC.CA with information of A/C tail number, A/C
Serial number, Engine Serial Number and wiring harness serial number
along with reference to SB 75026.

(8) Install cable tie and bolt/nut on blanket on aft firewall to access engine harness
connectors per AMM

(9) Install starter/gen1 and 2 air cooling ducts to gain access to engine harness
connectors at aft aircraft firewall per AMM (Ref Fig. 4).

NOTE: Screw back all attached clamps and install whole Gen 1 and Gen 2 air
cooling duct assembled per AMM (Ref. Fig. 4).

(10) Close Aft engine bay left side door per AMM (Ref. Fig. 2).

(11) Record the accomplishment of P&WC SB No. 75026, in the engine module log
book.

(12) Send an email to PT6E.CustomerEngineering@PWC.CA with aircraft details and

engine time when the SB is accomplished.
