A DUST IN YOUR PLACE/ALIKABOK SA KUSINA

By Joachim Emilio B. Antonio

A. EXPOSITION

Claire is seated at a table piled in supplies for the comic strips. Then she noticed a couple of fast food
bags on the table. She poses to draw, but she doesn't. Instead, She tries to consume one of the fast
food containers that she has opened. She puts it back. She sits and waits. RICK enters the room. Rick
then gave Claire the pencil case she was searching for before returning to the work they hadn't
completed yet due to Lisa and Rick's unpleasant interruption.

B. RISING ACTION

Claire and Rick take a break because Rick missed his line and Claire was not in the mood to draw at the
time. They began talking about how Lisa had been jealous of Claire and Rick. During their talk, Rick
mistakenly said something to Lisa that had a bad impact, and Claire is intrigued by it.

C. CLIMAX

Claire became upset and continued to quarrel with Rick as a result of what Rick stated that intrigued
Claire's attention. They began confronting one other about their relationship as coworkers or friends in
the middle of their argument. They tried to return to work, but they can’t since Claire preferred to
discuss their problem. Instead of talking calmly, they got into another argument about their personal
lives. They were constantly arguing over Rick's previous relationships and how Claire hasn't been asked
out yet. They also call out each other's shortcomings and character flaws without considering whether
they are good or negative.

D. FALLING ACTION

Rick has made the decision to return to work, but Claire has refused. After eight years of partnership,
Claire wished to put an end to their series. Claire wanted Rick to teach Lisa how to draw and find
another writer, but Rick isn't interested. Claire is serious about getting to the bottom of what's going on
with them or their relationship.

E. RESOLUTION

Rick began to believe Claire wished for them to cut ties. Claire does not want Lisa and Rick to have a
tough time. She also spotted the dust in his place, which Lisa tolerates because he didn't have time to
clean it. Claire and Rick got awkward to each other in a moment of tension and decided to get back to
work to end what they started.
