 INTRODUCTION

Canva is a fantastic online tool for designing a variety of items, including posters,

business cards, trifold brochures, and wedding invites. Canva is a completely free service that

requires the creation of an account. Canva allows you to sign up with an email address or by

linking your Gmail or Facebook account. Canva is entirely web-based, so any computer that

can connect to the internet and visit Canva.com can access the designs and projects you start

on one computer.

The majority of Canva's features are free. There are various free fonts and graphics

available on Canva. You can create an account without paying for a subscription. It may be

used to create eye-catching designs for social media, marketing campaigns, and projects.

Canva has a few features that are beneficial to pros. Canva Pro gives you access to those

capabilities as well as a premium library of stock pictures, fonts, shapes, and templates. If

you don't want to pay the Pro version, you can make in-app purchases. No prior knowledge

or experience is required. You don't need any prior graphic design skills to utilize Canva.

You can use a range of tools and layouts to create a professional design by switching between

fonts and graphics.For social media posts, postcards, posters, cards, and flyers, Canva

includes preset sizes and templates. To ensure that you obtain the finest results, Canva

includes a library of varied backgrounds, themes, photos, fonts, and stickers. You don't need

to be a techie to take advantage of these capabilities. These tools allow you to build an

engaging design in only a few clicks. All you need is a little imagination. When it comes to

figuring out particular measurements for a project, having predefined alternatives can save a

lot of time. Simply select the type of content you want to generate, and everything is fully

sized and created for you.

 Canva provides a simple sharing feature. Canva provides a feature that allows you to

submit a design you're working on to another person if you're part of a team. It's as simple as

entering email addresses and sharing the information with their colleagues. Before you have

to pay, Canva lets you to share your creations with a thousand others. This makes it much

easier for others to make changes to your design and provide feedback. Canva stores all of

your designs for you. This is advantageous since you can access your design or previous

designs from anywhere. You are not needed to save your design to a flash drive or to use a

certain computer. This also means that you won't have to worry if your computer breaks

down or shuts down because all of your hard work will be saved. You may use Canva to add

images or logos to a template. If you're working on a corporate design and need to employ a

certain logo, Canva makes it simple to upload the logo for free. If you need to utilize your

logo or image upload again in the future, it will be saved in your account drive. You may set

up a team on Canva and give them access to the designs. Through the shareable links to make

adjustments, you may control the level of access your team members or employees have.

When you're happy with your design, you have a few options for saving it to your

computer. Canva keeps your design on their website while you're working on it, but you must

first click the "Download" option in the upper right corner of the screen to get it onto your

PC. You will be offered four saving options:

 JPG - This is the most common image format on the internet. It's a tiny file type, so it

loads rapidly when you visit a website.

 PNG — This is a larger image file type (in terms of file capacity). It is better for

printing than JPG, but because of its bigger size, it will take longer to load on a

website.
  PDF Standard - The PDF file format is a cross between an image and a document.

Some PDFs can be modified and typed on, but in this case, it's a technique to freeze

your design in the form of an image. If you're printing multiple handouts on a home

computer, this file type is ideal.

 PDF for printing - This form of PDF file contains more data and, as a result, has a

higher print quality than PDF Standard (it also means the file size is also larger). If

you're designing anything that will be printed on finer paper, this file type is ideal.

Most businesses, including schools and universities, have been forced to close since

the outbreak began. Students must adapt to the "New Normal," which is based on technology

and social media platforms. Canva is one of the best resources for students to improve their

artistic and creative talents. Students' skills are improved as a result of this, and they are

given the opportunity to experiment with different designs and colors, which can help them

improve their school activities and projects.

 RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Canva is a user friendly application that allows students, teachers, or those people

who wants to create a graphic design, make a project in a very convenient way. These are the

steps that we have come up in order to make posters, invitations, menu, etc. By following

these steps, you’ll come up with the project that you wanted to produce.

First step, is to download the canva application

to google playstore or go to their website

www.canva.com. Sign up on the application if you

don’t have an account or log in if you already have an

account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a lot of

templates choose from. These templates can be edited

based on your desire design.

Second step, think of the project you want

to create. In our project we decided to make a

poster. Search “poster” in the search box and there

you’ll see a lot of templates to choose from. These

templates are free but other templates with a crown

symbol which means premium account needs a

payment to unlock. If you want to be creative you can choose a blank poster and design it

according to your desire. When creating your poster, you’ll have a lot of designing tools to

choose from. You can add elements like stickers, gifs or graphics interchane format image

that supports both animated and static images. You can also upload your images, add texts

and more.
 Third and last step, after creating your

poster and you feel satisfied about your work,

you need to save you project by clicking the

download button and selecting your preferred

file type. You can choose from png or high

quality image format, jpg or small file size

image, pdf standard and gif. Once the file is saved you can share it your friends, upload it to

social media or use it to your business, school projects, etc.

Canva is the mostly used application when it comes to editing and making graphic

arts such as posters, banners, and invitation. With this application we can make different

graphic arts and it allows to be creative in making our designs. The application is very easy to

use and it can unlock the creativity inside us.

 CONCLUSION

Using the canva application to make posters is not only very convenient for students,

but also very convenient for those who have design business, such as making invitations,

letters, etc. It is one of the most useful tools used by every student today, especially for those

who have art projects, because it can be the best tool, and it can provide countless designs

and trends at the same time. Edit different photos, then apply different effects, insert objects,

and follow the given template made possible by the application. Creating a poster is also one

of the best purposes of canva, it helps to show the talent and enthusiasm of the people who

use it.

Since we are already in the twenty-first century and since we entered to this era,

designing and creating poster became effective as a mode of communication and expression

and the technologies that were invented as the time passed by contributed a lot in the

development of arts not only in the Philippines, but also in different kind of country. As like

the video explained, the one who will make a poster can start with the given template by the

application and just edit some contents which are based from what they visioned about, and at

the same time, the artist can also start with the black page and the whole content may depend

on him or her. If the artist wants a unique design, he or she can customize his or her poster.

He can use photos which they can enhance, and they can also use different font styles that are

too attractive with the audiences eyes. Creating poster using canva application is a quick way

of creating poster, as it is also less expensive that it is depending on the user whether s/he will

avail premium account which offer wide range of designs, templates, objects, as well as fonts

that will contribute a lot in producing an effective poster. Saving projects or the created

poster is also less hassle that it only take a minute or two for it to download in your phone or
laptop gallery. Using canva app in creating poster also a great help as it can produce a great

output that can meet the satisfaction of the user.

Although using canva application need some internet connection and load, it didn't

become a hindrance for an artist to use it. Despite different applications which offers almost

the same services that the canva app offered, it didn't become a hurdle as the user still prefer

to use it, as it is one of the most effective tools, and less expensive, but at the same time, high

quality poster creator and editor. Technologies truly brought changes within the skills as well

as with the art forms, but either traditional, or digital poster, the message still depends on the

user or with the editor, and the expression is still concrete as the only difference between the

two is the form of creating a poster and not with the message that is being conveyed.

Gloabalization as well as technology development truly contribute a lot as it didn't just make

the production of different products convenient, it also makes different forms of art, and at

the same time contribute with the advancement of it, as it introduced students or the people

rather with different platform.
