1.0 INTRODUCTION
Definition advantages refers to a condition or circumstance that puts one in a
favourable or superior position. While canva is an Australian global multi-national graphic
design platform that is used to create social media graphics and presentations. The app
includes readymade templates for users to use. Creating an account and using Canva is free,
although the majority of high quality elements will need to be paid for in order to download
one's project. The app also offers paid subscriptions such as Canva Pro and Canva for
Enterprise for additional functionality.

In 2021, Canva launched a video editing tool. Users can also pay for physical
products to be printed and shipped. Examples of products that can be made on Canva
include yard signs, business cards, chore charts, album art, ebooks, infographics, menus and
invitations. The company has announced it intends to compete with Google and Microsoft in
the office software category, with website and whiteboard products. On December 7, 2022,
Canva launched Magic Write, which is the platform’s AI-powered copywriting assistant. On
March 22, 2023, Canva announced its new Assistant tool, which makes recommendations on
graphics and styles that match the user's existing design.

Canva was founded in Perth, Australia, by Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and
Cameron Adams on 1 January 2013. In its first year, Canva had more than 750,000 users.
[19] in April 2014, social media and technology expert Guy Kawasaki joined the company as
its chief evangelist (brand promoter). In 2015, Canva for Work was launched, focusing on
marketing materials. During the 2016-17 financial year, Canva's revenue increased from
A$6.8 million to A$23.5 million, with a loss of A$3.3 million. In 2017, the company reached
profitability and had 294,000 paying customers. In December 2019, Canva announced Canva
for Education, a free product for schools and other educational institutions intended to
facilitate collaboration between students and teachers. In June 2020, Canva announced a
partnership with FedEx Office and with Office Depot the following month. As of June 2020,
Canva's valuation had risen to A$6 billion, rising to A$40 billion by September 2021.While its
value had fallen significantly, perhaps as much as 67% from its 2021 high to mid 2022, it
was still known as a "darling" of the Australian tech sector along with Atlassian.Co-founders
Perkins and Obrecht have already disclosed their plan to give away much of their fortune to
numerous philanthropic causes.

3
The importance of systematic design and online interactive development training

empowers users to create professional-looking designs without the need for extensive
design skills. With its drag-and-drop interface and a wide selection of templates, fonts,
images, and other design elements, Canva makes it easy for anyone to produce
eye-catching visuals. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to see how much the canva
application can benefit the students.

4
2.0 Problem or Issues Investigated
According to the fourth edition of the dictionary, the problem is something that
requires a solution, a thing or a situation that is difficult. According to Krulik and Rudnick
(1989), the problem is a situation, quantitative or otherwise, faced by an individual or group
of individuals in need of a solution and the individual has no solution. While the issue is
subject to controversial opinions, issues of fact, evaluation, or policies that are important to
the parties related. In addition, it is defined that the issue is the result of an action proposed
by a person or other party that may have an impact on personal consultation and
adjustment, civil and criminal litigation, or something that could be a public policy issue
through legal action rules.

The problem or issues that were investigated in the project is application Canva as a
modern way in a learning process. It is because, in designing for the classroom it can take
hours to create graphically engaging content like infographics, worksheets, presentations,
and videos. Canva for education makes content creation easy with over 420,000 templates.
Take a premade education template and add your own flair. Be sure to check out the
classroom kit templates as well. Here we will find themed classroom décor, newsletters,
lesson plan templates, and more. In this context, students can create and personalise their
own designs from scratch, or choose from thousands of high-quality, educational templates.
From presentations to posters, and infographics, to worksheets, project-based learning, and
lesson plans, the possibilities are endless. Therefore, the nature of Creativity, critical
thinking, design, and visual communication are central to our student provision for the
outside world. Canva nurtures this skill by making it easy to create and complete group
projects, videos, posters and more.

Some templates cannot be used because they are paid as one of the problems or
issues that were investigated in the project. At Canva, content can be either free or pro.
Actually, Canva is always free for every individual and team to make it easier for users .
However, if students want to unlock premium features, individuals can upgrade to Canva Pro
to easily create professional designs and content and it has to be paid. Despite this fact,
users can also use a licence issued to you when you use content in a design. Free Content
licences are issued at no cost. Students are issued a Pro Content licence by paying if they
are a free user, or at no additional cost if you have a valid Canva subscription. Each Pro
content licence allows us to use the content in one design, so we must pay to object to a
new licence each time we like to use the name piece of Pro content in a new design. If

5
students have a Canva Pro or Canva for Teams plan, then a new licence is automatically
issued to them each time you use Pro content in a new design. The only reason those
templates are paid is that they contain paid elements, such as quality photos or vectors. So
open up the template, see what the paid element is (denoted with the watermark grid and
Canva logo), delete and replace it with something else that's free.

6
3.0 THE RATIONALE OF USING THE VARIOUS ITEMS COVERED IN THE LECTURE
According to the fourth edition of the dictionary, rationale is a reasonable reason for
an act, act, or holding. In addition, rationale here also refers to thinking on the basis of
reasons and evidence and will take action based on reasonable judgement. (Edwin, 2008).

One of the main rationale of the various items covered in the lecture and activities
using information technology in education is that it offers more and more teaching materials.
Through the internet, students have access to sources of information such as e-books,
educational websites and learning videos. This opens them up to the latest and exciting
information on a variety of topics from the point of learning in school about the current
world. The borderless world created from the internet enables us to access the wide variety
of learning materials that ole users develop around the world. But guidance and guidance
still require ole students from accredited teachers to be recognized for the knowledge to be
properly understood. It is clear that with easy and extensive access to teaching materials,
students can develop a deeper and broader understanding of the subjects learned.

The rationale of using the various items covered in the lecture and activities in iTEL,
Padlet and etc can help strengthen the skills of teenagers. In the face of modernization
today, most of us, especially teenagers, need to master more than one skill to stay relevant
in any field of work. This is because the scope of employment offered today requires highly
skilled and diverse employees. For example, communication skills and self-image invitations
have been key criteria for assessment in future career development. So teens can learn skills
outside the classroom through video streaming applications like Youtube. In addition,
adolescents also need to cultivate the use of technology in their daily lives as all aspects of
life in the future will be filled with easier and more efficient technologies to manage. In line
with the rapid development of technology, teens should also be wise to add other skills to
add value to themselves when it comes to starting a career.

Mastery of information technology can also facilitate communication between people

without time and place is one rationale of using the various items covered in the lecture and
activities. . The existence of technology applications such as padlets and itels has changed
the way in which human communication can provide views or feedback to one another
about their work in that application. The use of Webex applications can also be face-to-face
in real time and communicate better. Long-term relationships have become a commonplace
in society and this has helped the process of globalisation that teens need to accept and

7
take advantage of. The birth of social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram also has opened the door for each of its users to expand their relationship shelves
to the world. In addition, communication through information technology is important in
terms of personal safety. This is because emergency billing and location sharing can be done
easily if the victim is in an emergency or threatened with safety. A Malay proverb says,
another past now means the way communication was different from now on. In fact,
mastery of information technology will facilitate communication with each other regardless
of distance and time.

8
4.0 METHODOLOGY
The study methodology is their method and technique-the form, collection and
analysis of data in order to produce evidence that can support a study. In preparing and
completing this assignment, there are several methodological studies that have been used
including ADDIE Model, , Gagne's Events of Instruction and various padlet activities.

4.1 ADDIE Model

The ADDIE Model is a process used by training developers and instructional
designers to plan and create effective learning experiences. In this model, the writer
used this model for the advantages of using Canva for students. All relevant
information, refers to the acronym of ADDIE, meaning each letter stands for a
different phase for creating an effective eLearning course. ADDIE stands for Analysis,
Design, Development, Implementation Evaluation. By applying the ADDIE model to
the advantages of using Canva, the writer can emphasise its ease of use, design
flexibility. collaborative features, implementation options, and the ability to evaluate
and refine your designs. These advantages make Canva a powerful tool for creating
visually appealing and impactful graphics efficiently.

4.2 Gagne’s Events of Instruction

In this context, Gagne suggested nine events of instruction that may enhance
student learning: gain attention, inform learners of objectives, stimulate recall of
prior learning, present stimulus, provide learner guidance, elicit performance, provide
feedback, assess performance, and enhance retention and transfer. As we can see, in
our group Gagne models show nine events of instruction : The Advantages of Using
Canva for Students.

4.3 Padlet Activities

In this padlet activities, each student needs to provide an overview of the
assignment or title they choose. In this case, each member of the group needs to
provide feedback in the other group's comments section so that members of the
group can see the advantages and disadvantages of the title they are presenting.

9
5.0 IMPLEMENTATION
Execution comes from a word of execution that means running/doing an activity.
Implementation is an action/implementation From a well-planned and detailed plan,
implementation is usually done once the planning is complete. (Kompasiana, 2022).

5.1 ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI to understand how humans
speak and write. As mentioned above, this model is based on technology in
Transformer movies and trained with large amounts of text data from the internet, so
that you can recognize the patterns that are in English and what the next wish will
come in the given text or text. When you use ChatGPT, this model will analyse the
input you have and use the information it has learned to return the answer. This
model can follow the flow of encouragement in a natural way and can answer the
questions posed to it by subscribing to the information available. To use ChatGPT,
you can insert queries or scams into applications or services that use this model, and
the model will return the appropriate jaws. You can also use ChatGPT to help write
natural text and fit the specified topic.

5.2 Canva
Canva is an online graphic design platform that provides users with a wide range of
tools and templates to create visually appealing designs for various purposes, such
as presentations, social media graphics, posters, flyers, and more. It offers a
user-friendly interface and customization options, making it accessible to users
without extensive design experience. Canva simplifies the design process, allowing
individuals to create professional-looking graphics and visual content with ease to
make individuals thinking more creative in education.

10
6.0 PREPARED INFOGRAPHICS
Infographics (a combination of "information" (information) and "graphics" ) is a
visual representation of information, data, or knowledge intended to quickly and clearly
present information.

6.1 Application of ADDIE Model :

Addie is an acronym for the five stages of a development process: Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The ADDIE model relies on each
stage being done in the given order but with a focus on reflection and iteration.
ADDIE training model provides a streamlined, structured framework that helps us
create an effective learning product, whether that's delivered through an online or
offline training program, a coaching session, a presentation, a presentation, or an
information booklet especially with respect to the title we choose. Start by analysing
our design needs and goals. Identify the type of visual content that we want to
create, the target audience, and the purpose of your designs. Canva offers a wide
range of templates and design elements tailored for various purposes, ensuring that
we can find the right fit for our specific needs. Next, design. Canva excels in design

11
gauge their impact. Canva's analytics feature provides insights into how your designs
are performing, helping you make data-driven decisions and iterate for better results.

6.2 Application of Gagne's Events of Instruction

Nine events of instruction about the advantages of using Canva for students. First of
all, gain attention. Capture the students attention by introducing the topic in an
engaging way. For example, we can start by presenting visually appealing and
professionally designed graphics created using Canva, showcasing the impact and
potential of the platform. Next, inform learners of objectives. Clearly state the
learning objectives of using Canva for students. Highlight how Canva can enhance
their creativity, design skills, and visual communication abilities, which are valuable in
various academic and professional contexts. Furthermore, stimulate recall of prior
knowledge. Activate students prior knowledge by asking questions or providing
examples of situations where visual communication is important. Then, explain how
Canva can be an effective tool to fulfill those needs.

Present the content. Provide step-by-step instructions on how to use Canva,

including its features, templates, and customization options. Demonstrate how
students can create visually appealing presentations, posters, infographics, and other
visual materials. Provide guidance. Offer guidance and support as students explore
Canva. Share tips and best practices on design principles, color schemes, typography,
and layout to help them create visually impactful and well-designed materials. Elicit
performance. Allow students to practise using Canva by assigning them specific tasks
or projects. For instance, ask them to design a presentation slide, create an
infographic, or design a social media post using Canva's tools and resources.

Apart from that, assess performance. Evaluate students' understanding and

proficiency in using Canva through quizzes, assessments, or peer evaluations. This
can include assessing their ability to create visually appealing and effective visual
materials using the platform. Enhance retention and transfer. Reinforce learning by
encouraging students to continue using Canva beyond the classroom. Emphasise the
real-world applications of Canva in academic projects, presentations, and future
professional endeavours. By following these events of instruction, students can gain
a deeper understanding of Canva's advantages and develop the necessary skills to
utilise the platform effectively for their academic and creative projects.

12
6.3 Application of ChatGPT
ChatGPT can be used to generate text based on one or more sources, but it is
important to supplement the generated text with information from other sources.
This will help to ensure that the review article is not simply a regurgitation of
previously published content. For example, in that project in padlet, there are some
other infographics such as pros and cons of Canva. We use the application to find out
more in-depth information or information about pros and cons of Canva application.

13
7.0 CONCLUSION
In conclusion, there are many applications that facilitate students in their daily lives,
especially to do some assignments. In this group assignments, the writer's role in this
project is to explain how well Canva applications can help students prepare more exciting
tasks and be creative and innovative. In this context, the writer used the ADDIE model in
listing the benefits of Canva applications to students. It is commonly used, widely accepted,
and provides a foundation for other learning models. Another advocate is that it has proven
to be effective for learning. Also, since the larger pieces of the project are planned, it
becomes easy to measure the time and cost involved in the project.

Challenges encountered are time constraints to complete tasks. As we can see, these
weeks are the weekend of the semester where students are asked to submit assignments on
a given date. Therefore, as a responsible student, the writer should be wise in setting the
time by listing the assignment that needs to be delivered in order. Next, the writer does not
know how to use the application such as ADDIE model and Gagne’s Events of Instruction.
How the writer overcomes these challenges is to ask the writer friends who are good at
using the application and do a more in-depth look at the application. It did not take a few
days for the writer to master the application.

In choosing this title, the writer needs to expand on the idea of what are the key
elements that need to be studied in producing an Interactive Training Module to be more
interesting and creative. In this title there are also some references that are not accessible
to add a little bit of information to the module. However the module has helped the author
become more creative in writing so that the writing can be a reference in the future.
