Students will begin class by watching this video which goes through a series of
marketing lessons and plans to create a well thought out and purposeful
campaign.
I will then show several successful advertisement flyers/posters from companies
like Apple, Nike, Starbucks, and Google.

Engagement Students will be asked to complete a padlet after watching the video. On that

campaign and what makes each component important.

Exploration Students will research their own successful advertising campaigns. This will
include many different media styles.

Exploration We will write and submit a brief summary on why the advertisement that we

Explanation I will explain the different portions of the project that I am looking for the students
to accomplish. This will be where I help them create their Canva accounts and
begin to walk them through how to create a flyer/advertisement for their
company/product. I will explain the key components that must be included and
explain how it will be organized.

Students will be expected to create an advertisement that has a slogan/motto
that customers find memorable, an example of your product, key features of your
product, where your business is located, any history of your business to reassure
the consumer.

Evaluation Students will be evaluated using a rubric on several components of their


project. This will include: creation of an advertisement using an approved
medium, a slogan/motto to help the consumers identify with your product,
an example, key features and promotions with your product, and a quick
history of your experience to reassure the consumer. They will also be
graded on the organization, flow, proper use of Standard English.
