MBA Core-Trimester III


Group Project

1. The objective of the Group Project is to highlight the role of Operations & Supply Chain
Management in a company (preferably Indian) of your choice.

2. The paper should focus primarily on the Operations & Supply Chain Management issues.

3. Hypothetical data may be used but they should be realistic. Successful attempts to get
real data will improve the quality of the paper. Secondary data based project with
extensive literature review are acceptable. Avoid incorporating unwanted graphs &
pictures from secondary sources.

4. Evaluation will be based on the following criteria:


a. Comprehensiveness and depth of the paper’s content (Issues, Strategic
Recommendations and Performance Implications).
b. Quality of the sources used for references and background information (Research
papers, Case Studies, Prowess Online Database).
c. Quality of Report such as organization, format, etc.

5. Students have to select & submit their topic titles at the end of 2 nd session. 500 words
Abstract Summary / Interim feedback at the end of 6 th session & Final project to be
submitted by the 16th session.

6. Late submissions will affect your scores. Early submissions (before due date) will be
acknowledged & appreciated.

7. No two groups can choose the same Topic (CRs of Division requested to coordinate the
project titles & submit list of all the project titles to the faculty on email
tohidkachwala@yahoo.co.in after ensuring there is no duplication).

8. Weightage of Group Project is 20 marks.

9. The Group Project should not be more than 20 pages. The suggested Project Format
Guidelines is as follows:
a) Introduction of topic
b) Profile of organization
c) Review of Literature (if any)
d) Project description (analysis)- the body of work
e) Learnings from the project/ Applications in the Industry/ Managerial Contribution
f) Discussion and Conclusion
g) Limitations

10. Group Presentation / Viva may be conducted at the discretion of the faculty.
11. Important Notes:
a. All submissions to be made to the faculty on email (tohidkachwala@yahoo.co.in)
with subject: OSCM_Div<X>_GrpNo<X>. All attached Files should be saved as
OSCM_Div<X>_Grp<X>.
b. First page of the report should clearly mention – Group Number & Students
Name & Roll Numbers.
c. Attach plagiarism report along with your submission.
d. Additional guidelines as & when required will be separately communicated.
