Professional Development Strategies I

Assignment Name: EMPLOYER / PLACEMENT SEARCH
Value: 5%
Due Date/Time: Week 3: Monday January 20th, 2020

Objective: To prepare a list of three potential job placements and create the initial draft of overall learning goals

Your choice for your placement and/or work opportunity should be a decision that you take time to make. You may
have different reasons for making this choice. Some considerations could be:

 Is it a learning opportunity
 Is there a certain trend or environment which you want to experience
 Does the employer offer mentorship or leadership qualities that appeal to you

You want to give a reasonable amount of consideration into the employment choice you make. Just as an
employer will interview you to determine if your skills and character are a good fit for their organization,
likewise you should also consider the type of position you will fill and the employer with whom you will work.
Every job you take is a stepping-stone in your career.
