1. Preparation of the titrant solution of Hg(NO3)2

For the determination of the sample X we need to prepare 100 ml of the titrant solution of
Hg(NO3)2 with concentration c = 0.03 mol/l. Calculate the mass of Hg(NO3)2.1/2H2O, which
we need to weigh to prepare such a solution.

2. Preparation of the standard titrant solution of NaCl.

Calculate the mass of NaCl necessary for the preparation of the solution with volume V=100
ml and concentration equivalent to the concentration of Hg(NO3)2 titrant solution.

3. Standardisation of the titrant Hg(NO3)2 on primary standard NaCl.

The average consumed volume of Hg(NO3)2 from three parallel determinations of 10 ml of

standard solution NaCl was …… ml. Write the equation and calculate the precise
concentration of the titrant Hg(NO3)2.

4. Determination of halogenides, cyanides and tiocyanides.

The stock solution of the sample X was prepared in 100 ml volumetric flask. The average
volume of Hg(NO3)2 which was consumed from three parallel determinations of 10 ml of the
sample solution was …. ml. Write the equation and calculate the mass of the substance in the
sample.
