Finally! The day arrived for our family's day at the beach.
My parents had been planning our family excursion to the
beach ever since the last year holiday started. Of course,
I've been very elated when my parents had made the
announcement that we were going to the beach this
Sunday coming. So last Friday evening, my dad took some
time off early from work so that he, mom and I could go to
the grocery store and purchase everything that we were
going to need on our trip to the beach on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, my mom and dad were busy cooking
the food in the kitchen while I helped packed the
refreshments in a large cooler box with ice. After my
parents had finished preparing the food, they packed it
into a large box with plates and spoons and forks. In the
next hour, we were on our way to the beach.
The sea water was blue and beautiful as it sparkled in the
warm sun. There were a few people here and there on the
beach. Some were busy playing cricket, while a few kids
were building sand castles for fun. By the time, we had
gotten out from the caravan, I was already excited to go
into the water and enjoy a fine sea bath. My mom had
seemed to have read my mind, so she told me to have
lunch before doing other fun activities.
The food was incredibly delicious. Baked chicken, lasagna,
egg salad and shepherd pie, it was truly an amazing meal
that I've ever eaten so far. Then I drank some iced cold
lemon lime juice to wash it down. After that incredible
lunch, my parents and | relaxed like for half an hour until it
was officially time to have some real fun. We all ran into
the sea water and dived in. The water was cool and
wonderful that we stayed there until it was time for us to
pack up and go home.
It was five o'clock that evening when we all had packed up
our belongings and put them back into our family caravan.
As I sat in the back seat of the caravan, I looked out of the
window to have a quick look at the clear blue sea water
one more before we drove off. I could see that sun was
already setting above the horizon of the ocean. But I knew
that some other again, we would return to enjoy another
family day at the beach.

Majapahit empire, the last Indianized kingdom in

Indonesia; based in eastern Java, it existed between the
13th and 16th centuries. The founder of the empire was
Vijaya, a prince of Singhasari, who escaped when
Jayakatwang, the ruler of Kediri, seized the palace. In 1292
Mongol troops came to Java to avenge an insult to the
emperor of China, Kublai Khan, by Kertanagara, the king of
Singhasāri, who had been replaced by Jayakatwang. Vijaya
collaborated with Mongol troops in defeating
Jayakatwang; Vijaya then turned against the Mongols and
expelled them from Java.
Under his rule the new kingdom, Majapahit, successfully
controlled Bali, Madura, Malayu, and Tanjungpura. The
power of Majapahit reached its height in the mid-14th
century under the leadership of King Hayam Wuruk and his
Prime Minister, Gajah Mada. Some scholars have argued
that the territories of Majapahit covered present-day
Indonesia and part of Malaysia, but others maintain that
its territory was confined to eastern Java and Bali.
Nonetheless, Majapahit became a significant power in the
region, maintaining regular relations with China, Champa,
Cambodia, Annam, and Siam (Thailand). The golden era of
Majapahit was short-lived; the empire began to decline
after the death of Gajah Mada in 1364, and it was further
weakened after the death of Hayam Wuruk in 1389. The
spread of Islam and the rise of the Islāmic states along
the northern coast of Java eventually brought the
Majapahit era to an end in the late 15th or early 16th
century.

William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon on

23rd April 1564. His father William was a successful local
businessman, and his mother Mary was the daughter of a
landowner. Relatively prosperous, it was likely the family
paid for Williams education, although there was no
evidence he attended university.
In 1582 William, aged only 18, married an older woman
named Anne Hathaway. They had three children, Susanna,
Hamnet and Juliet. Their only son Hamnet died at the age
of just 11. After his marriage, information about the life of
Shakespeare was sketchy, but it seemed he spent most of
his time in London – writing and acting in his plays.
It seemed Shakespeare didn't mind being absent from his
family - he only returned home during Lent when all the
theatres were closed. It was thought that during the
1590s, he wrote the majority of his sonnets. This was a
time of prolific writing and his plays developed a good
deal of interest and controversy. His early plays were
mainly comedies (e.g. Much Ado about Nothing, A
Midsummer's Night Dream) and histories (e.g. Henry V.
By the early Seventeenth century, Shakespeare had begun
to write plays in the genre of tragedy. These plays, such as
Hamlet, Othello and King Lear, often hinge on some fatal
error or flaw in the lead character and provide fascinating
insights into the darker aspects of human nature. These
later plays were considered Shakespeare's finest
achievements.
