Satram- A 3 hours 30 minutes ride which will take you through the
peripheries of the forest. If you are lucky enough you will witness wild
life. It is a scenic journey at the same time an adventurous one with
some off roading.

Paranthumpara- This is another mountain top with breathtaking

view of the western ghats. Visiting this place along with satram will take
only 1 hour extra.

Calvery mount- Anchurili- Hanging Bridge- Chenkara-

Calvery mount is the birds eye view of the Idukki reservoir. The view is
exorbitant which would mesmerise any one

Anchurili is the water level view of the Idukki reservoir. Once the water
level goes down, 5 upside down woks will appear in the water and hence
the name. you can also see a tunnel carrying water across the
mountain

Ayappankovil hanging bridge- this is again a part of the Idukki dam

resorvior. This hanging bridge ws built to connect the tribal colony to
the main land so that the tribes could come across safely during high
water levels in the reservoir. There is also a temple in this area which is
only accessible during low water levels

Chenkara Mount-you have the option of coming back to Thekkady

through the plantations. This is another mountain peak with high
altitude delivering majestic view of the mountains

Gavi day trip (Full Day)- If you have a full day to spend at
Thekkady, you may choose Gavi full day trip. You will have to
leave hotel at 5.30 am so that you can enjoy the beauty of nature
and wild life at morning hours. Forest department conducts,
Trekking, boating ets. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served
at Gavi. You may return by 4 pm

Aangamuzhy Trip (Full Day)- This is again a full day

program inside the forest. Starts early in the morning.
You get to travel around 90 Km inside the forest visiting
5 dams. High chance of amimal spotting.

Idukki Arch dam- - Asia’s Largest arch dam is really a wonder

and a beautiful location. The dam is open to public on special
occasions and weekends. Visiting Idukki dam will be 1 hour
extra with the Calvery mount Trip

Ottakathalamedu & Chellarcovil- 2 hours trip

Ottakathalamedu gives the birds eye view of Kumily town up till
periyar lake.

Chellarkovil gives the cliff view of Tamil Nadu from The border
and you can also experience a water fall along the cliff

Ramakalmedu -3 hours Trip

This is another mountain top view of Tamil Nadu. Ramakalmedu
is also popular for the wind. There are wind mills located in this
area. There is a huge statue of Kuravan and Kuruthy who are the

Mlamala Water falls- 3-4 hours-

This is a popular water fall besides the tea plantations.

You can take shower in this water falls. The water will
dry up towards Summer.

Tamil Nadu Sight seeing -3-4 hours

There are various attractions in Tamil Nadu like the penstock
pipes carrying water to the powerstation, vegetable and fruit
farms, grape yards, bull o cart ride etc

Miracle Mount-2-4 hours

This is the apt place for you if you are a go for hiking. This
mountain peak gives a 360-degree view of forest and Kumily
town. Vehicle access is till half way and the rest has to be hiked.
