Precautions
A. Removal.

1. Isolate electrical power supplies to synchronizer.

2. Remove electrical connector from the synchronizer located on


the fuselage keel just aft of the fuselage rear equipment bay
door.
Task
Procedure 3. Remove the four bolts and distant pieces securing the
synchronizer to its panel and remove the synchronizer.

B. Installation.

1. Clean mating faces of the synchronizer feet, distant pieces,


bonding strap and terminal lug on bonding lead.

2. Attach synchronizer to panel making sure the bonding strap is


sandwiched firmly between distant pieces and mounting feet,
and terminal lug bonding lead is assembled under bolt head.

3. Tighten all bolts and coat bolt head and terminal lug with
sealant. The measured resistance between synchronizer and

bonding strap should not be more than 0.025 ohms.

4. Connect the electrical connectors to the synchronizer and wire


lock.

5. Restore electrical power supplies to the synchronizer.

6. Ground test installation (Refer to CHAPTER 71-00-00,


Adjustment/test).

All tools and equipment are placed back/ returned.


Post-Task
Report any findings during task.
Inspection
All documentations/ entries are completed.
