INNOVATIVE PROJECT-3
Project: Operational Improvement
1. Adopting PXP Technology in place of FUZZY
For the Efficient Operation of Raw Meal, Coal, Cement Grinding and Pyro Process, as per the Auto Report
Generated from the Quality Control Mechanism, the Plant Operation Parameters are being controlled to optimize the
Consumption of Energy (Power & Fuel).
Benefits
➢ Ease and Stable operation of Process
equipment’s like Kiln, Raw Mill, Coal Mill
& Cement Mills.
➢ Specific Electrical energy reduced by 1.0
kwh/Ton of Cement.
➢ Consistent Quality to the desired level.
➢ Stable kiln operation reduced the NOx level
and improved the kiln refractory life.
➢ Marginal savings in Specific Thermal
Energy per Ton of Clinker.

3. Kiln Inlet Refractory Castable Modification
6th Meal Pipe
To avoid jamming and recirculation of high calcined kiln feed from kiln
inlet to raiser duct,
Modified the refractory casting below 6th cyclone meal pipe
discharge towards the kiln inlet tongue plate discharge as a canal
of 3.5 meter long x 0.3 meter depth x 0.5 meter width. Avoided
inlet kiln inlet jamming and recirculation of the calcined material
from kiln inlet to raiser duct and also reduced a pressure drop
of 10 – 12 mmWc.
4. Arrangement of 450 Angle plate at
Cooler discharge exit gas duct Cooler Exit Gas Duct

To avoid the dust settlement at Cooler exit gas duct during the
increased kiln production rate, whenever cooler water spray increases
more than 6.0 m3/hr leading to the settlement of the fine dust and
forming in to lumps.
By welding 8 mm thick MS plate at an angle of 450 and
application of sodium silicate on the surface of the plate, the
settlement of wet fine clinker dust has been avoided.
➢Smooth Operation & Safety factor increased by elimination of cleaning
process as it is high risk area.
