MINISTER MBALULA RELEASES THE SEZNA S550 (ZS-CAR) AIR-CRASH


INVESTIGATION REPORT

The 23 of January 2022 marked exactly two years since the unfortunate incident
where three South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) employees lost their lives
when the aircraft they were traveling in crashed on 23 January 2020.

The three officials, Captain Thabiso Tolo, First Officer Tebogo Lekalakala and Flight
Inspector, Gugu Mnguni were traveling from George Airport on a flight calibration
mission when this unfortunate incident happened.

Pursuant to this, investigations by duly delegated authorities unfolded to establish


the circumstances that led to this tragic crash.

It is against this background that the Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula will
release the Accident Report to the public two days after he met, engaged and
handed over the report the families.
