Installation Manual C Cabling and Bundling
C.1 Cabling
In the equipment room installed with supports and ESD protection floor, cables
can be routed in downward mode. That is, all cables are routed within the floor
interlayer or in the cabling trough. If upward cabling mode is adopted, a cabling
rack is required above the cabinet for holding cables.
The specifications and cross-sectional area of the cable, and the route and
position for the cabling should be designed beforehand. All cables should be
arranged neatly, with their sheaths kept intact.
The trunk cables should be arranged separately from the power cables and fiber
jumpers.
Turnings of the cable should be smooth, and the bend radius should be larger
than 60 mm.
Any damage to the insulation layer of the conducting wire is not allowed. The
cable arrangement should be convenient for future maintenance and capacity
expansion.
Cables in ducts must be bundled. Bundle them closely with appropriate tightness.
The spacing between the cable ties should be even and the overall appearance
of the cabling nice.
Cables in troughs do not need to be bundled. But they should be placed tidily and
straight with no crossover. No overflow is allowed. At inlets, outlets and turnings of
the trough, bundle the cables with cable ties.

C.2 Bundling
Bundling of the cable should be tidy, clear and elegant. As a general rule, cables
are grouped by types, or grouped as needed when they are in a large number.
Bundle them with cable ties and route them in either upward or downward cabling
mode.
Cables inside and outside the cabinet must be bundled. Keep the cables bundled
closely and neatly.
Use cable ties of different specifications for cables according to actual
circumstances.
Do not connect two or more cable ties for bundling purpose.
After the ties are fixed, the remaining part should be cut evenly with no burrs.
The spacing between the cable ties is even and is three or four times the size of
the bundle diameter.
When making turning for the bundled cables, keep the bend radius as big as
possible to avoid breaking the cable cores.
Figure C-1 shows the specific operation of bundling.
