Concepts Learned
I learned that Cheerdance is a combination of the words cheer and dance. Cheering is the act of
yelling out words or phrases that can help encourage and increase the spirit of a playing team, helping
them to perform better during a game. I also recall a cheerleading performance routine, as well as hand
movements and basic cheer dance positions such as beginning stance, cheer stance, clasp, clap, high and
low V, side and front lunge, bow and arrow, over hand clasp, table top, low clasp, punch, L-motion,
diagonal, half T, and T-motion.
