Reflection:
Concepts Learned:
I learned that… Intellectual property refers to any human intellectual property that is legally
protected against illegal use by others. The four types of intellectual property laws are copyrights, patents,
trademarks, and trade secrets. Poetry, music, drawing, painting, photography, and video were all created
with the use of intellectual property. There are four categories of intellectual property protection: copy
right, trademark, patent, and trademark secret. An original work that has been copyrighted has been
permanently fixed in a form that may be seen or heard. The copyright owner is the only one who has
permission to use their work. Using a copyrighted work without the permission of the copyright owner is
prohibited. It's possible that you'll have to pay a charge to use copyrighted material. A patent protects a
product or process that provides a new technological solution to a problem.
Plagiarism is the act of using or closely mimicking the words and phrases of another person
without their consent. Thoughts of another author; presentation of that author's work as one's own,
without crediting the source. It is great that this has kind of plagiarism law where people who have talents
and working hard to make a single object, they made would be protected by other people who A patent, or
exclusive right granted to the creator, protects an innovation. The word "patent" is derived from the
French word "invention," which refers to a novel method of doing something. I've learnt that a trademark
is a term, a group of words, a sign, a symbol, a logo, or a combination of these things that identifies and
distinguishes the source of one entity's goods or services from those of another are trying to be stolen or
mimicking the authors works. It is not appropriate to steal some other art, music, poetry, or other kinds of
work that made by single person who works hard to do it for his business or something, they could also
lose their dignity because of this. And that is why plagiarism is a crime where people’s work should be
protected by others who are tryna’ steal their work.
In this module, I learnt a lot, and it's necessary to know everything there is to know about this
type of law or protection to be informed and alert to defend each artist and their work from other people
out there. Knowing the various types of intellectual property and guidelines, as well as understanding the
purpose and relevance of the property of a single matter, has been extremely beneficial to me as a student.
Concepts Unlearned:
I'd like to learn more about...I don't have any unlearned concepts in this area. I've learned
everything and am familiar with every element in the module. I don't have any questions on this topic
either.
