b. What are the precursors of your chosen invention? What tools existed prior to it or
how did people carry out activities before it invention?
- There were the Mp3 players, Mobile broadband, Caller ID, and the likes.
People carry out the same activities but on separate devices as mentioned
above. Because of the iPhone, the features of the mentioned devices earlier
can now be all available in one smartphone, which is the iPhone.
c. What were the social, political, cultural, or economic contexts in which the
invention was made?
- Phil Schiller, the vice president of worldwide marketing, said that Apple was
known for its Mac. But it has a small market share. The next big hit of Apple
was the iPod, and it made everyone change their view of Apple. And
because of that people will ask what inventions they can make in the future.
d. What were the social, political, cultural, or economic impacts of your chosen
inventions?
- Because of the iPhone, the standard for future smartphones was established.
A smartphone can now be used to perform various tasks such as work,
communication, shopping, and so on.
