He says that those irrational men who aspire to power and wealth and are guided by the talk and opinion of others will not achieve the peace, happiness, and liberty assured to those who travel the hidden path. The poem continues on to mention a ship in a storm, and how the sailors aboard are motivated only by greed and ambition, and they will not meet the harmonious end of those who travel the hidden path. 2.Kindly give/ write the moral lesson/ s derived from your own report. - The main message of The Life Removed by Luis Ponce de Leon is having consequences for your choices. Those who are greedy or irrational will not see a good end. 3.What do you think was the author’s purpose in writing the said masterpiece. - The author’s emphasizing an individual’s ability to rise above the circumstances. When he writes, If you can dream, and not make dreams your mater, he is saying that do not let circumstances control you just because you have a dream. The poem talks about how wealth and power do not bring happiness.
