4. APPLICATION / LIMITATION:
4.1 - Application for low expansion fixed foam fire protection systems in machinery spaces, in cargo pump rooms and in the
cargo area of oil tankers or chemical tankers.

4.2 - May be used also as additive AFFF to water.

4.3 - For ships with service notation Chemical Tankers or Product Tankers the list of handled products will be approved on case
by case basis.

4.4 - On board installation and maintenance to be as per manufacturer instructions and IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1312, paragraph 5.

5. PRODUCTION SURVEY REQUIREMENTS:

5.1 - The products are to be supplied by Bio-Ex SAS in compliance with the type described in this certificate and Bureau Vertias
Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships.

5.2 - This type of product is within the category HBV of Bureau Veritas Rule Note NR320.

5.3 - Bio-Ex SAS has to make the necessary arrangements to have its works recognised by Bureau Veritas in compliance with
the requirements of NR320 for HBV products:

6. MARKING OF PRODUCT:

- Date of manufacture.

7. OTHERS:
7.1 - This approval is given on the understanding that the Manufacturer will accept full responsibility for informing shipbuilders
or their sub-contractors of the proper methods of fitting and general maintenance of the approved equipment and the conditions
of this approval.

7.2 - This certificate supersedes the type approval N° 20406/A2 BV issued on 17/03/2010 by the Society.
