-Example of Efficient Dispersion Method-
①Prepare water in container and a high
speed agitator.
②Set the position of stirrer shaft slightly
away from the center and make it a turbulent
flow state instead of a laminar flow state.
③Put in the powder little by little in order not
to float on the surface of the water
voluminously and then add next powder after
previously poured powder has been
dispersed in water.
A state that dispersion is progressing by
gradual powder addition.
④ If it can be confirmed immiscible lump
visually, continue to stir for another 10
minutes.
Three-one type motor (500-1000rpm) is
recommended than magnetic stirrer as low
rotation speed.
By producing the turbulent flow condition,
water wettability of lump is improved.
This product has highly water retentivity, so if
immiscible lump grows, the water stop effect
is exerted, water wetting in the center
becomes worse and then dispersibility is
getting drastically worse.
A state that dispersion is blocked due to adding
voluminous amounts of powder at a time.
If you want to promote the dispersion or
immiscible lump does not disappear possibly,
please use a stirrer with high shear such as a
homomixer.

◇FAQ
Ｑ，Does the temperature affect the dispersibility?
Ａ，Temperature does not basically affect the dispersibility. It mainly affects the physical such as
the shear rate and the shape of the stirring blade.
Ｑ，What kind of stirring blade do you recommend?
Ａ，We recommend high speed rotation and high shearing strength.
In the microscopic sense, the water dispersion particles of Smectite are considered to be
aggregated in layers, and it is torn off by high shear.

Ｑ，Is there other way to improve dispersibility?

Ａ，Easy to appear immiscible lump by touching the Powder with water,

so might use the infiltration method with the dispersion solvents other than water
as like glycerin as used for Cosmetics frequently.
