I respect the rights of people with disabilities to have proper facilities for their well-being.

I am responsible to ensure the facilities reserved for people with disabilities are not misused.
SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils can plan and act out a role-play on one of the situations.
Pre-lesson:-
 Teacher talk about certain facilities are reserved for people with disabilities use to enable them to
live comfortably. Examples: Parking, toilet, lifts, ramps, priority seating, etc.
Lesson development:-
Activity 1:-
 Teacher prepares a stack of word cards on facilities for the disabled (e.g. lifts, parking). Pupils get
into groups of five. Pupils will take turns to respond to the word cards that they have. Pupils discuss
the following questions. Discussion: (21st CA)
1. Where can you find these facilities? Are they available in your community?
2. How can you take care of the facilities?
ACTIVITIES 3. Why is it important for us not to misuse these facilities?
Activity 2:-
 Teacher gives three situations. In groups, pupils plan and act out a role-play on one of the situations.
Pupils can use the sample dialogue for guidance. (CBA)
Activity 3:-
 Teacher displays or writes a pledge on the whiteboard for pupils to read aloud as a class. (HOTS)
“I pledge to RESPECT the rights of people with disabilities.
They have the right to have proper facilities.
These facilities should not be misused.”
Post-lesson:-
 Ask pupils to think about what they have learned and how well they feel about 3S in their life.
