An animal life is not worth the same as that of a human.' Do you agree?

All animals have a sense of self-preservation, this includes humans. Unlike humans, however, animals do
not have the ability to question. Human beings can create, ponder, answer, and protect other species.
No other living creature other than humans on this Earth will ever consider another species equal to
their own let alone above. We, humans, are the only creature capable of feeling responsibility over
another animal's well being. Furthermore humans have history, we have physical records of our
existence and our impact on the planet. Many animals go extinct and few are lucky to be remembered
throught ancient fossils. If all life on earth were to be wiped out today, human records would be all that
is left to tell our planet's story to any following life extraterrestial or otherwise. To say all creatures are
equal on earth would mean creatures as insignificant as mayflies which live extremely short lives have as
much reason to exist as a human or even a dog. This would also mean that animals such as fish or
insects should not be harmed even when evidence suggests they are unable to feel pain. To say human
life is equal to that of any animal, a dog for instance, would imply that in a situation where the life of a
human in which you have no relation to were to be ended unless you were to allow the deaths of two
dogs you would allow the human to die in favor for the dogs

Is it cruel to keep animals in zoos or make them perform in the circus?

I have an opportunity to attend a circus show with two free tickets which I was presented by a friend. It
has been attracting very large crowds, especially kids. People who had seen its show were full of
immense praise for the daring physical feats of men and women and the feats of the tamed animals. The
lions, the elephants, and the hippopotamus were the talks of the town. People were much impressed by
the items of the circus displayed before them. But for me, I was not very sympathized with the show
involving animals very much. I don't believe animals should be subjected to the conditions of circus life.
moreover, animals have to be compulsory in hard and also violent train for entertaining humans.
Regular transport, cramped and bare temporary housing, forced training and performance, loud noises,
and crowds of people are often unavoidable realities for the animals. Travelling circus life is likely to
have a harmful effect on animal welfare as captive animals are unable to socialize, get enough exercise
or exhibit natural behaviors.

Is it right for people to keep exotic animals as pets?

From my point of view, keeping the exotic animal as a pet is not only illegal but also puts your life in
danger, moreover, it raises the issue of the illegal pet trade. By some estimates, a yearly average of 3.5
people dies from exotic animal attacks. Everyone loves pets. While most of us limit that love to more
conventional animals such as dogs, cats, budgerigars, and fish, there are many who extend it to animals
such as snakes and chimpanzees. This gives rise to the debate over keeping exotic wild animals as pets.
As said before, the wild populations of some exotic pets are severely affected by the pet trade. Due to
this, bans have been imposed on the trade of numerous animals, but the illegal pet trade continues to
fester in many wildlife-rich regions of the world. Animals such as big cats and many primates need all
the help we can provide for their wild populations to flourish. The illegal pet trade is a big contributor to
the reducing numbers of some species.
