MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to
educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the
United Nations agenda.
The participants role-play as diplomats representing a nation or NGO in a simulated session of
a committee of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly.
Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues,
debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.

During a conference, participants must employ a variety of communication and critical thinking
skills in order to represent the policies of their country. These skills include public speaking,
group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, reaching
consensus, conflict resolution, note-taking, and technical writing. Model United Nations groups
exist to develop these skills and are usually organized as either a club, conference, or class. A
conference is a school-wide, local, regional or international gathering of Model United Nations
students who come together over a period between one and five days.

In recent decades Model United Nations has greatly matured and expanded. It is now
practised all over the world by elementary, secondary, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral
students. The majority of conferences generally involve anywhere from 50 to several hundred
delegates, with most students living around that one region. The largest conferences, on the
other hand, can have thousands of participants from many different countries.

The reasons why students are so motivated to participate in model united nations include the
high-value colleges and universities all around the globe put on it as a dynamic extracurricular
activity, the unique networking opportunities it provides, the excitement of role-playing at not
just the global level but the United Nations level, and the intense competition among the
participants for the esteemed awards.

Model United Nations, both globally and in Bangladesh, is the most hyped and talked
about student event in recent years.

Unlike debate and business competitions which only allow a niche group of students to
participate and compete for glory, Model United Nations is a much more inclusive platform
where almost anyone can dream to shine with the right preparation, proper guidance and
inspired efforts.

ADAMJEE MODEL UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION, a distinguished club of Adamjee


Cantonment College started its journey in 2016. It has been diligently working to launch
successful and exemplary events around the year. Consisting General Assembly, Intra Model
United Nations, Talent Hunt, IR Colloquium, different sessions and workshops.  Our club, The
Adamjee Model United Nations Associations being titled unequivocally as the best MUN club
of the country has achieved 11 best delegations both nationally and internationally, through
defeating over 60 institutions, has cultivated a pre-eminent legacy, guided by this club’s
prominent Alumni and one of the most senior  Moderators of the college.

ADAMJEE INTRA MODEL UNITED NATIONS 3.0

ADAMJEE INTRA MODEL UNITED NATIONS is a flagship event of ADAMJEE MODEL


UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION (AMUNA) arranged every year for its students. This year in
December on the date of the 24th and 25th the club is promised to organise an event that is
not only popular among the students but also academically efficient. 

Adamjee Cantonment College on the other hand is extremely good in this sport and has
proven the best MUN club of Bangladesh gives the participants (commonly known as
delegates) the best MUN experience along with very known and efficient sponsors every year.
This event would arrange 250+ participants along with 20 executive board members from
different institutions such as IBA, NSU and many more. Along with five committees that will talk
about the recent world issues and present solutions solving them with their negotiation and
debating skills.

It is a pleasure to inform you that Adamjee Model United Nations Association


(AMUNA) is going to organize “ Adamjee Intra Model United Nations from
December 24th-25th, which promises to be the first physical event of
Adamjee Cantonment College including 250+ college participants/delegates
& 20 executive board members from prestigious institutions maintaining
COVID-19 safety precautions.

Adamjee Model United Nations Association (AMUNA) has before arranged a


series of intra MUNs making the participants rank as the best Munners in the
country. Its successor, promises an incredible 2 days experience for the
participants joining the Model UN conference. This particular extra
curriculum activity is recognised as the best ECA bringing together
intellectual young minds. 
 
Therefore, we are inviting your company to join hands together with AMUNA
by sponsoring the event that promises to impact deep in the young youth &
reach a bigger number of diverse participants. Your funds will be invested in
the future generation of homegrown diplomats representing our country.

• The event will be titled: “Title Sponsor Presents Adamjee Intra Model United Nations 3.0”
❑ Banners, posters and backdrops:
• There would be banners outside the venue, visible to passers-by.
• There would be posters both inside and outside the committee room, the opening, closing
and award ceremonies.
• The opening, closing and award ceremonies will have backdrops.
• All of the above would feature logos.
❑ Event Materials:
• The participants will be presented with a number of stationery and paper materials such as
pens, files, notepads, placards and ID cards.

➢Digital Newsletter:
• A digital newsletter will be shown on the third day and during the closing ceremony on the
screen of the venue.
• The newsletter will have two pages reserved for the sponsors.
➢Social Media:
• Facebook would be our main platform of promotion.
• Our Facebook page already has an outreach of 10,000+ people with 5,200 likes.
• Our sponsors will be branded thoroughly on our event page.
• A public Instagram account will also be used for promotions.

• The sponsors would be able to set up booths and interact directly with the participants or
market their products to them.

• Our opening and closing ceremonies will feature one or more public figures as our chief
guest(s).
