1. creating a new file

File Path: We can create a new folder which is named after our own name.

The files are saved in our own folder for search.

2. sketching and extruding into entities

Click on the "insert" - "design feature" - "stretch" and the "extrude" dialog box pops up.
Click on the Y-Z datum in the screen and we enter the sketch interface as shown in Fig.1-3.

Note: At this point, we can turn off some unnecessary toolbars.

3. Sketching

We can click on the icon ‘ ’ of the sketch toolbar to start drawing.

Usually do not automatically dimensioning, so the toolbar icon ‘Auto dimension’ is needed to close.
Draw Fig.1-4 sketches and note that the sketch must be all constrained.
After completing the sketch, we can click the icon ‘ ’ to finish the sketch.

In the ‘extrude’ dialog box the vector is set to XC. The extrude distance is 180mm.
Click the ‘apply’ button to finish the ‘extrude’ figure and it is showed in Fig.1-5.

4. Click the ‘X-Z’ datum to draw the sketch and it is showed in Fig.1-6

After completing the sketch, in the ‘extrude dialogue box’ the vector is set to YC. The Boolean option is
‘intersect’ as shown in Fig.1-7.

5. Using the same extruding method to draw the sketch on the "X-Y" datum plane and it is showed in Fig. 1-8.
After completing the sketch, in the ‘extrude dialogue box’ the vector is set to ZC. The Boolean option is
‘intersect’ as shown in Fig.1-9.

6. Edge blend

Click ‘insert’--’detail feature’—‘edge blend’ command as shown in Fig.1-10 and in the popped dialogue box
the radius is set to ‘8mm’. Choose the edges needed to be blended and the model is finished.

7. saving
Click ‘file’—‘save’ command to save the figure.
