Nonay halanay Jamaat – English Translation

This poem was written by Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II, Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased
with him). It is addressed to the youth of the Ahmadiyya Jama’at and contains many invaluable
instructions on how to conduct themselves, the expectations from them and advice with regards to
the great responsibility that lies upon their shoulders as the future of this blessed Jama’at.

To the youth of the Jamaat, I wish to say a few things, ‫الن جماعت مجھے کچھ کہنا‬ ِ ‫نَو نہا‬
But there is one condition-my message and must not go unheeded. ‫ہے‬
‫پر ہے یہ شرط کہ ضا ئع مِرا پیغام‬
‫نہ ہو‬
I want to give you some words of advice,
Lest I be accused (of failing in my duty). ‫چاہتا ہوں کہ کروں جند نصائح تم‬
‫کو‬
‫تاکہ پھر بعد میں مجھ پر کو ئی‬
‫الزام نہ ہو‬
When we depart from this world, the burden of responsibilities will fall
to you. Forsake laziness, do you not to look for comfort and ease. ‫جب گذر جائیں گے ہم تم پہ پڑیگا‬
‫سب بار‬
‫ب آرام نہ‬
ِ ‫طال‬ ‫کرو‬ ‫ترک‬ ‫سُستیاں‬
‫ہوں‬
Consider service to your faith as a blessing from God,
Never expect any reward for it.
‫ت دین کو اِک فض ِل ٰالہی جانو‬
ِ ‫خدم‬
‫ب انعام‬
ِ ‫اس کے بدلے میں کبھی طال‬
‫نہ ہو‬
Observe the prayer and fast with heartfelt desire,
And never ignore any part of the commandments. ‫ت دل سے ہو پابن ِد نماز و‬ِ ‫رغب‬
‫روزہ‬
‫ص ٔہ احکام نہ ہو‬ّ ِ‫نظرانداز کوئی ح‬
If you have wealth, give alms and zakat, ‫زکوۃ و‬
ٰ ‫پاس ہو مال تو دو اس سے‬
Always show concern for the needy, and do not worry about tomorrow.
‫صدقہ‬
‫غم ایّام نہ‬
ِ ‫فکر مسکیں رہے تم کو‬
ِ
‫ہو‬
Adopt the habit of remembrance of Allah, for it is impossible that the
heart be full of the love of God but the lips do not profess His name. ‫ت ذکر بھی ڈالو کہ یہ ممکن‬ِ ‫عاد‬
‫ہی نہیں‬
‫ق صنم لب پہ مگر‬ ِ ‫عش‬ ‫ہو‬ ‫دِل میں‬
‫نام نہ ہو‬
Consider this period of your life as a great favour,
So that you should not be disheartened by the times to come. ‫ت عظمٰ ی‬ ِ ‫اپنی اس عمر کو اک نعم‬
‫سمجھو‬
‫بعد میں تاکہ تمھیں شکوۂ ایّام نہ ہو‬
Even if you become a statesman, a general, or a scholar, we will not be
pleased with you if you are devoid of Islam.
‫تم مدبّر ہو کہ جرنیل ہو یا عالِم ہو‬
‫ہم نہ خوش ہوں گے کبھی تم میں‬
The task is difficult, the destination far, ‫گر اسالم نہ ہو‬
Oh my loyal people! Never slacken your pace.
‫صود‬
ُ ‫کام مشکل ہے بہت منز ِل مق‬
‫ہے د ُور‬
We work as best we can, ‫اَے مِرے اھ ِل وفا سُست کبھی گام‬
When you take over, this community should not fall into disrepute. ‫نہ ہو‬
‫ہم تو جس طرح بنے کام کیے‬
‫جاتے ہیں‬
‫آپ کے وقت میں یہ سلسلہ بدنام نہ‬
In your favour is my prayer O loved ones,
‫ہو‬
May you always remain under the protection of Allah and may you
never face failure.
‫میری تو حق میں تمھارے یہ د ُعا‬
‫ہے پیارو‬
May you always be protected from the darkness of grief, pain and ‫سر پہ ہللا کا سایہ رہےنا کام نہ ہو‬
sorrow,
May the sun always shine brightly for you; may dusk never fall. ‫ت رنج وغم ودَرد سے محفوظ‬ ِ ‫ظلم‬
‫رہو‬
‫مہراَنوار درخشندہ رہے شام نہ ہو‬
