(Only students siting for an examination paper shall be allowed inthe Examination Centre. All candidates are requested to memorize or note down ther index numbers for Use during examinations. Reading and revision shall be done in any ofthe folowing areas: ¥ Ubrary North and East wing classrooms ¥ Pavilion Any other designated open ai section in the KTTC Compourd ‘The room schedule for the exams of the day shall be posted on the Students’ Notice Board at the foyer, every moming at 7.18 Am and 10.48 Am forthe 8.00 Am and 41.30 Am examinations respectively Candidates are required to be seated inthe examination room § minutes to the start ofthe examination paper. No candidate shall be allowed to sit for exams if they arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the exam. Materials relevant io examination taking, such as calouators, Mathematical and Engineering Drawing Instruments should be clean and free of any writings or any extra papers attached. All such materials shall be subjected to checking before entering the exam room 11. Smart calculators and watches are NOT allowed inthe examination room 12. Candidates are required to bring the folowing documents for kentiication National ID card or Birth certitcate for those under 18 years of age ¥ College ID card ¥ Police Abstract for those who have lot their national ID cards 18. Candidates are requested to avoid coming in any heavy jackets or sweaters within the Examination Centre. Anyone wearing one shall be required to remove Itand leave it outside the Examination Centre, at their own risk 14.00 NOT bring any bags and mobile phones to the Examination Centre, any ‘candidate caught with @ phone shall be deemed to have committed an ‘examination iregularty as indicated on pages 20 (BTEP exam time table) and page 29 (Technical exam timetable) 18. Candidates should avoid geting involved in any examination iegularties such 2 collusion or bringing in unwanted written material into the examination room, 16.Any candidate involved in examination regulary risks having the results Cancelled and awarded a "Y" result overall in addition to being disqualifed from siting any KNEC examinations fora period of 3 years. 417. All students and staff shall be subjected to temperature checks at cesignated entry pints 2, Students and staff exhibiting temperatures above the stipulated levels shall be required to seek mecical attention 3, Students and staff exhibiting fluke symptoms or feeling unwell ae encouraged te socal distance and seek immeciate medical attention. 4. Allstudents and staff shal be required to wash their hands regulary at designated washing points, 5. Only 2 students shall be allowed to occupy a room in the hostels and shall ‘maintain socal distance at all times. {6 Allstudents and staff shal be required to maintain socal distance as per the marked siting places in classrooms, lounges, Amphitheatre, canteens, offices as well as on the walking paths, 7. Playing of pool, dats and table tennis shall not be alowed during this period 8. Students shall be served their meals from designated points, and there shall be no sharing of utenslscutlery 8. The door and all windows shall remain open throughout the lesson/examinaton, 10. The frst desk atthe door shall be a minimum of 1.5 metres distance from the door, to avoid close contact as people enter or exit he classroom. 11 Students shall keep 1.5 metres social cistance as they enter and settle on their seat 12.The Trainer and students shall have their masks covering the mouth and nose throughout the lessoniexamination, 13. Fumigation ofthe classroom and the desks shall be done atthe end of each ‘day's session. 14, Singing or shouting shal be avoided during the lesson to minimize the flow of ‘aerosol fures from individuals 418, The Trainer shall guide students on how to perform thelr group tasks in ‘observance of the MOH protocols 16.The Trainer shall sentizeicisinfect all assignments colected before packaging ‘them for marking; and before returning them to students 17. Pages eH, [roel Guidelines 2021 PART 2: ISOLATION GUIDELINES FOR COVID 19 SUSPECTED CASES DURING KNEC EXAMS Clinical Criteria of a Suspected Case Cough + Fever above 26° * Dificuty in Breathing In case ofa patient withthe above symptoms inside the exam room, the falowing steps should be fllowed: 1. Ensure the patient has a mask thet covers the mouth and the nose adequately 2. Notify the clinical officer’ nursing officer immediately and transfer the patent to {the schoo's isolation center next to the dispensary (incase the patient is veeak ‘and unable to emulate tothe isolation center, the medical personnel wil plan on evacuation), 8. Atthe isolation center, medical personnel wil receive the patient anc after ‘assessment, nolfy the sub-county covid-19 response team, 4, No visitors shal be allowed into the isolation room. 5.
