Materials:

You can use any cotton yarn from your stash with suitable hook size
I used cotton yarn and hook size 2,5 mm
Fiberfill
Scissors and needle

Abbreviations (US)
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dec = decrease
inc = increase
BLO = back loop only
Sl st = slip stitch

Pattern
Body and head
Start with the tail and crochet up to the head.

R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)


R2 – 9: 6sc (6)
R10: inc, 5sc (7)
R11: sc, inc, 5sc (8)
R12: 2sc, inc, 5sc (9)
R13: 9sc (9)
R14: 3sc, inc, 5sc (10)
R15: 4sc, inc, 5sc (11)
R16: 5sc, inc, 5sc (12)
R17: 2sc, (inc 6 x), 4sc (18)
R18: 18sc (18)
R19: 3sc, (inc, sc)6x, 3sc (24)
R20 – 24: 24sc (24)

Fasten off and leave a yarn tail. Weave yarn tail through the last stitches and close the head.

Spines (head)
Ch24
(on chain) (3dc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st) repeat till end of row. Fasten off and
attach to the head.

Spines (back)
Ch20
(on chain) (3dc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st) repeat till end of row. Fasten off and
attach to the back.

Fins (Make 2)

Ch5, close with sl st to form a ring.


Ch4, 5 x tr in the ring, ch4, sl st in ring and fasten off. Sew the fins to the body.
Roll up the tail and secure with a few stitches.
Embroider the eyes with black yarn.
