Values (naay iinsert sa pi draa pi sa vision mission ug values)
Education has progressed through stages of growth. I believed that open
education is open for everyone in the world. Moreover, it has access to
high-quality educational experiences especially now we have online class
education. Furthermore, the affordable technology for us students in our
educational learning. Considering that we students need high-quality
education.

Also, the policy is a path of conduct or a principle of action that is adopted
or suggested by a government, institution, or individual.
- Next stop The Self from Various Perspectives there are different
views o f the “self” from sociology, Anthropology and psychology.
- we have tackle so many philosophers but these three will give me an
overall understanding of philosophy.
-
- from philosophy we all know that Man is a rational animal coming
from Aristotle and learning that “self” is a unique. I learn that we have
to listening hard not just in the physical self but also the mental itself.
Finding the self-identity is hard because you need to dig deeper in
knowing yourself. Moreover, we have Socrates who slope western
thought and known for Socratic method. Socrates makes me ask
myself that am I sincere enough to tell that I am authentic? And
Lastly, Plato said that physical world is not really the “the real world”
because the ultimate reality exist beyond the physical world.

- Next one is the Sociology – George Herbert Mead is a well known for
his “theory of the social self” and I learned that we are influenced to
the people around us like our parents and our community. Also, the
“Looking glass self” from Charles Horton Cooley that I have
ascertained, that it create an image, people you admire their standard
of life, like you want your identity to be the same. That is why the
behaviors of children is sometimes is the reflection of how they
treated their child in our homes.

- And lastly, the anthropology, The study of people, both past and
present. and learned that it focuses on comprehending the human
experience from a cultural perspective.

my report for the : Psychological View of the Self: Unpacking the Self
- it has the physical aspect of self and refers to the body that we are all
go through the same process, The physical self has been
demonstrated to have a crucial role in worldwide views of self-worth
and self-esteem. Also the Adolescence begins with the onset of
puberty. Like Elizabeth B. Hurlock outlines the stages in the life span
from Prenatal to Late adulthood.
-
- in connection to that, that is why we have family planning for
responsible parenthood. The Family planning, both men and women
informed of the planning they have made.

- On the other hand, There is really differences in understanding in

beauty. Moreover, as said from Aristotle that the forms of beauty are
order, symmetry, and definiteness that can be demonstrated by
mathematical sciences. While for me it means that it is not in the
physical appearance that reflects but, in the attitude, you give to
someone. That every time I feel insecure and down, I kept reminding
myself that motto of mine is to boost my confidence.

- According to William James, the self is everything that an individual

considers to be his or hers, not only his or her body and material
possessions but also his or her reputation and beliefs. I ascertained
that oneself is comprised of the material self, which is the sum up of
one's personality by means of one's material resources.

- Now we will go to the material self and consumer self I learned that
the material self are the People who thought things were significant
for personal pleasure had a greater level of pleasant emotion.
whereas the consumer self is strongly intertwined to materialism.

- Furthermore the Need Vs Wants are needed to know the differences

because Needs reflect our basic needs like shelter and food, whereas
wants represent desires and luxuries. Regardless of this distinction, it
is important to recognize that needs and desires are unique to each
individual.

- And lastly, the spiritual self, I learned that We are all here for a
reason.
- Everything teaches us something.
- also, Being alone is a blessing.
- Remember why you're doing and show your thankfulness.
- Happiness is the path to take.
- Accept yourself since you are all you have.
- and Your spiritual activities are part of your spirituality. This might
involve prayer and meditation. Your regular contacts with other
people are also part of your spirituality and spiritual life.

Managing and Caring for the Self
The Metacognitive teaching strategies is helping students learn how to
learn under it, was Metacognition, is the ability to reflect on and control
one's own thinking. I learned that getting acquainted to the people to get
knowledge or understood one’s experiences. It helps builds knowledge for
us.
Self-efficacy helps to increase student success, promote mental health
and well-being, and act as a reliable predictor of motivation and learning.
Moreover, the people with a strong sense of self-efficacy are not really
about the feeling that is confident, but the things that we are doing.
Next is the Goal setting, I learned that the success does not happen, it is
about perseverance, it is about the passion and motivation that you build
and earn yourself to pursue your goal. I ascertained also the SMART to
help us in our goal setting. The Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant
and Time bound. ( butang ug style nga S sunod specific nga transition)
Lets go through the Maslows Hierarchy of needs, Because both are
concerned with human motivation, Maslow's hierarchy of needs is
significant to organizational theory. Understanding what people need—and
how those needs differ—is a critical component of effective management.
Furthermore, It allows us to have a better knowledge of motivation, goal
achievement, and personal fulfillment. It also gives structure and clarity to a
previously difficult-to-understand area of human psychology. The
hierarchy's simplicity has contributed Maslow's theory in maintaining its
influence and power throughout the years.
On the other hand, the stress has three categories, the eustress, neustress
and distress. Eustress is a positive form of stress, Neustress is neither
considered good nor bad. and lastly the Distress is the most common type
of stress. To relieve stress, find a way to take out your stress. There is
some place now that can help relieve your stress also there is some
peaceful place to help you ease your mind. Psychologist Hans Selye
proposes that during stressful circumstances, the body passes through
three stages of physiological reactions: alarm, resistance, and exhaustion.
In Cognitive Coping I learned that it is really important to make way of
relieving you stress because it is all for your own good. Try to take
meditation, we have to help ourselves to combat stress – inducing
thoughts. As well as do a Positive self-talk compliment yourself sometimes
and rethink the situation and to gain control.
About the self-care therapy I learned that A self-care lessen our anxiety
and depression, enhance focus, reduce anger, boost happiness, improve
energy, and building resilience.

Good Day I am Jona Lynne Delasalde and I will be presenting my
report in the Overall assessment on the course GE 1: Understanding the
Self, leading on the question: How does it help the student/s to better
understand themselves of which it is being integrated in the CHED
curriculum for the tertiary education.
As I look through the CHED curriculum for the tertiary education.
the Impact on College Curriculum is One of these is the important ways
that CHED has updated the curriculum before the full K to 12
implementation is by aligning it with the outcomes-based education–the
same pedagogy used in K to 12. CHED also came out with guidelines for
the revised General Education Curriculum to complement the new subjects.
The General Education Curriculum courses have been reduced from 64 to
36 units, one of following is the Understanding the Self / Pag-Unawa sa
Sarili.
This improve one's understanding of oneself, As a result, we will know
exactly what areas need to be addressed or strengthened, and, more
significantly, what to do to overcome one's weakness and transform it into
strength. As well as the quantity or level of a person's attribute.
And also to develop one's self-awareness.
As a consequence, we will know precisely what areas need to be
addressed or improved, and, more importantly, what to do to overcome
one's weakness and change it into strength. This approach makes use of
tools, as well as the quantity or level of a person's trait or behavior. The
data acquired from a tool is used to determine the presence of a behavioral
attribute. Assessments of mine in understanding the self are critical in
acquiring information about people's activities. and contributes to
determining personal and professional goals.
Third, that within the tertiary level, nothing within the stated laws require
that Filipino and Panitikan must be included as subjects, which the study of
Filipino can easily be included as courses of study within the tertiary level, if
higher education Institutions decide to do so.
That is why we have tackled about the DEVELOPING A FILIPINO
IDENTITY, that is also a part of Filipino and Panitikan. about our Values,
our filipino culture, Traits, Community

(The changes within the General Education curriculum were implemented

to confirm that there would be no duplication of subjects in Grades 1 to 10,
senior high school and College. ) Third, that within the tertiary level, nothing
within the stated laws require that Filipino and Panitikan must be included
as subjects, which the study of Filipino can easily be included as courses of
study within the tertiary level, if higher education Institutions decide to do
so.
That is why we have tackled about the DEVELOPING A FILIPINO
IDENTITY, that is also a part of Filipino and Panitikan. about our Values,
our filipino culture, Traits, Community, and Institutional Factors we have the
examples of pakikipag kapwa tao, and the filipino culture is a mix of eastern
and western that beliefs the pre- colonial in the Philippines. Also, the fact
that we cannot deny the races of the Filipinos that they are mixed like
japanese, mexican, and this is part of our relationship in other countries
because that is also IN our COLONIAL HISTIORY.
But also because of the influence of our history, we have also acquired
traits like Filipinos are fond of comparing themselves "unfavorably with
westerns by using western standards, also the liberated traits we have also
acquired today because of comparing our country from them.
