2 Optimal reference rotor flux

The optimal reference flux is obtained so that the generated torque is maximized
in correspondence to the actual line voltage at a given maximum amplitude of
the stator current vector .In order to determine the reference flux, the following
standard mathematical model of the motor referred to d-q axes fixed to the rotor
flux vector is considered:

where i$d is the amplitude of the scaled rotor flux vector given by 6 d = L&$d,
$d is the amplitude of the actual rotor flux vector, td is the load torque and t,
and t, are the driving torque and the Coulomb’s friction torques given by:

and:

L, = L m / L , , 7, = L , / R , , Le = L , -LmL,,

a l l =--(R, +- Ls -Le ), a13 =--,1 1 ~1 =-,1
Le 7, Le T r Le.

In this model, all the parameters are identifiable; in particular, these parameters
can be identified using genetic algorithms [7].
The following constraints have to be taken into account:

where I, and V, are the maximum values of the amplitude of the stator current
and stator voltage vectors, respectively.
